If you’re watching the Emmys tonight, then I’m sure you’re just as enraged as I am that Emmy winner and goddess of life, Jennifer Coolidge, was forced off the stage while giving her acceptance speech.
No, she wasn’t dragged off the stage with a cane like the cartoons, but they blasted “Hit the Road Jack” so loud it was almost worse.
On Monday night’s Emmy awards, Jennifer Coolidge won the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series for her role in the critically acclaimed Hulu series, “White Lotus.”
However, while Jennifer was giving her hilarious acceptance speech, she was cut off by a very loud rendition of “Hit The Road, Jack.”
In true Jennifer fashion, the actress danced along as the music cut her off and gave fans the most entertaining moment of the night.
However, fans were not so quick to forgive.
“I don’t want to live in a world that doesn’t let Jennifer Coolidge speak as long as she wants,” tweeted one fan.
“Jennifer Coolidge spending the last 10 seconds of her speech saying ‘wait, hold on’ and then dancing to ‘Hit the Road Jack?’ Give it another Emmy,” tweeted another.
Look, I’m not saying the producers should issue an apology, I’m just saying it would be NICE.
