Elon Musk’s father, Errol Musk, has claimed that his son has ‘PTSD from the White House’ amid the explosive fight that occurred between the tech billionaire and US President Donald Trump.
The two fell out last week
Musk Snr, who is 79 years old, spoke about his son’s relations with the US President only days after their bromance collapsed in a vicious online feud.
The two took jabs at each other online with Musk claiming Trump appeared in the Jeffery Epstein files in one of his posts, while Trump said he would remove subsidies from Musk’s companies.
Errol Musk spoke about Elon Musk’s relation with Trump
As the feud continues, Musk Snr spoke at a forum in Moscow after key Kremlin associates offered his son support amidst his fallout with Trump.
Errol claimed that the tech billionaire suffered ‘PTSD from the White House’.
He said his son ‘made a mistake’
Speaking about the situation, Errol said, “So at the moment, Elon is inclined to say that he’s made a mistake,” as per the Daily Mail.
“Trump will prevail. He’s the president, he was elected as the president. Elon made a mistake, I think, but he’s tired, he’s stressed.”
Errol said ‘continuous stress’ put Elon in a difficult position
“Five months of continuous stress, continuous, continuous stress, stress, stress,” Errol went on about Elon’s fallout with Trump.
“And then in the end, it’s just him and Trump left… They still don’t know what to do, so they fight with each other until they can come to normal conditions,” he added.
He predicted the feud will die down soon
The South African businessman said of Elon Musk and Trump, “They’ve been under a lot of stress for five months, a lot of stress for five months.” But he also predicted “it’s just a small thing. It’ll be over tomorrow.”
Errol suggested that the situation was too difficult to navigate
“Elon with Trump and the new administration, they took over a somewhat broken United States, broken by the previous administration, with intent, evil intent,” he said.
“They’ve had five months at least of intense repair work, removing all the spurious opposition, all the crazies and so on. They’ve been under a lot of stress.”
The father said Elon still wants to ‘get everything right’
Recalling what started the feud, Errol said, “Recently a new bill was put out – and Elon is still in the ‘Let’s get everything right’ mode.”
“He said, ‘No, we must not include in such a bill more of this Democrat stupid schemes and money for them, it’s not right’.”
He noted that Elon ‘give’ something in return for what he wants
“But unfortunately, he doesn’t realise that in order to get their votes in the Senate and the Congress, Trump has to do that.… in order to take something, you have to give,” the businessman added.
“So they had an argument about that, and as they are all suffering from a bit of PTSD, a post-traumatic stress disorder over the last few months, they started hitting out at each other.”
Errol suggested that Elon feels he ‘made a mistake’
Explaining why his son – who’s the richest man in the world – might have turned against Trump, Errol said, “People have to understand that at the moment, Elon is having second thoughts that… he’s not a great politician, he is still learning, he’s a great tech innovator and so forth.”
He went on to add, “It’s very hard to make sense of politics. Nobody’s ever managed to do that. So at the moment, Elon is inclined to say that he’s made a mistake.”
