Nickelodeon child star, Drake Bell , fell from grace in 2021 following the release of some disturbing pictures on the internet. The latest news on the disgraced star is that his marriage is on the rocks as he separates from his wife, Janet Von Schmeling.
According to a close family friend, Von Schmeling is tired of her husband’s woes and can’t stand living with him anymore. Despite being together for almost ten years (five dating and four married), Von Schmeling is ready to call it quits.

Von Schmeling Moves Out
The news broke when Von Schmeling relocated to Florida with her son, as living with Bell is no longer healthy. The Drake & Josh star struggles with addiction and other vices his wife wants him to treat.
Added to his woes, Bell faced criminal charges in 2021 for Child endangerment and Disseminating Matters harmful to juveniles, both counts to which he pled guilty. The court sentenced him to 200 hours of community service and two years of probation.
More Accusations Ruin His Reputation
The 2021 sentencing was the nail in Bell’s coffin, as his troubles started several years earlier. In 2015, the actor received a DUI (Driving Under the Influence of an abusive substance) charge. Two years later, he sent a minor “inappropriate social media messages” and had oral sex with her after she attended his Cleveland concert.
Then, in 2020, before his double-guilty plea, Bell’s ex-girlfriend Melissa Lingafelt alleged that he verbally and physically abused her. He denied Lingafelt’s accusations, but it didn’t help that all these charges came when he was involved with his now estranged wife, Von Schmeling.
His Wife Gives Up
Von Schmeling’s final straw was Bell inhaling balloons with his son in the car. Paparazzi caught him in his front seat, blowing up and deflating some balloons for several minutes before entering his house.
There’s no confirmation of them containing influential substances as they could very well be an anxiety control mechanism.
The next day, Bell visited a vape shop and exited with bagged items before continuing his balloon exercise from the previous day.
Still Getting Divorced
The latter action disadvantaged Bell as the circumstances suggested he used the balloons as a vaping alternative. The inside source admitted that Von Schmeling has no problem with her husband’s parenting skills but wants him to make better personal choices.
News is that Bell went into a treatment facility following Von Schmeling’s exit, but it doesn’t seem like it’ll change her mind about the impending divorce. A recent social media update from Bell suggests it’s “fake news.” See the tweet below.
