Chen Rui, a TikToker from Chongqing, has a knack for impersonating the US president so precisely that his videos feel so real.
Rui works a regular job but transforms on camera
He knows how to nail those Trump impressions, and it’s weirdly spot on. He’s got the hand moves down, the way Trump talks, even the rhythm.
He throws in those classic Trump lines too—like “you haven’t even said thank you” and “you don’t have the cards.” And somehow, it sounds almost exactly like the real guy.
He started off just learning English in China
“I started out as a pretty ordinary person just learning English in China,” he told the South China Morning Post. He said it wasn’t anything special—just picked it up bit by bit. Over time, he said he “slowly honed” it. And now, he doesn’t just speak it—he performs it.
He copies Trump’s gestures EXACTLY, taking the internet by storm
In one video, he’s waving his hands just like Trump and says, “Folks, you’re in Chongqing CHAI-na.” And of course, he didn’t forget the McDonald’s bits. Trump’s love for it is famous, and Rui leans into it hard.
Then he picks up a spoon and goes, “This spoon is very good quality by the way, take a look. I wonder if it’s made in China… Yes it is. It better be. If it was not, we’re going to slap a tariff on it.”
Even American creators are shocked by him
There’s this clip where American YouTuber IShowSpeed sees Rui doing his Trump impression and he was legit stunned.
People online already started calling him “Chinese Trump.” One fan said, “I think this is the best impression so far.” Another joked, “Chinese Trump for President!” Someone even wrote, “Wow. So you speak Mandarin, English AND Trump!! Those are 3 of the hardest languages to master in the world, very impressive! The Best, Even!”
“DONALD TRUMP MADE IN CHINA.”

Fans were impressed, and the comments kept coming in, saying: “You are the best Trump ever.” And someone else added, “This is the best impression of Donald Trump I’ve seen yet.”
He uses English to promote Chongqing globally

Rui really believes English helps show the world his hometown.
“I was born and raised in Chongqing and I think English could be a very important tool to introduce Chongqing to the world,” he told Chinese media.
He said he’s proud to share what makes Chongqing special, especially with international viewers
“I really like the personality of the Chongqing people. I think I am also a typical Chongqing native,” he said. “As a Chongqing native who can speak English too and introduce my hometown to international friends, I think that’s a very good thing.”
Comedy and jokes aside, Rui also wants to help others learn English
“In the long run I still want to do some English training,” he said. “Because a lot of fans privately message me asking me to explain how I learned English.” So he’s thinking about posting more videos to teach what he knows.
