Leaving Christmas decorations up until mid-January? CHECK!
Dolly recently revealed that she believes in leaving Christmas decorations up for as long as possible and I, for one, MUST agree! Why cut the most wonderful time of the year short?
Is there anything more depressing than taking down your Christmas decorations?! The idea that Christmas is another 12 months away is sometimes too hard to handle.
Coming home to no Christmas tree and no twinkle lights is literally SO miserable!
However, Ms. Dolly Parton may have found a way to ease the post-Christmas blues.
While chatting on Cody Alan’s podcast Cody Cast, Dolly revealed she loves to keep her decorations up until at least January 19th!
“I put up my Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving,” she explained.
“I celebrate Christmas and Thanksgiving until my birthday on the 19th of January. I always make them leave my decorations up ’till after my birthday, ’cause I am still celebrating.”
What an amazing idea!
Then, by the time you take the decorations down, it’s only 11 MONTHS UNTIL CHRISTMAS! HUZZAH!
