Sean “Diddy” Combs is in legal trouble again. This time, a guy — going by John Doe — says Diddy drugged and assaulted him. The whole thing happened years ago, but now Doe’s speaking up.
It’s not the first time Diddy has been hit with these kinds of accusations, and this new lawsuit just adds to the pile.
The lawsuit was filed by John Doe
John Doe’s lawsuit was filed in New York by attorney Tony Buzbee. The alleged incident happened back in 2015. Interestingly, Buzbee has handled several cases against Combs over the past year, including one where Jay-Z’s name popped up as a defendant too.
The aspiring musician hoped to impress Combs
According to the lawsuit, John Doe was trying to make it big as a rapper and singer. In 2015, when he was 23, he had the chance to open for a well-known artist at a few clubs in Los Angeles, including one called QC’s 20/20.
A chance to sign with Bad Boy Records

Before his performance at QC’s 20/20, Doe was told Combs would be there. If his performance went well, there was a chance Combs might sign him to Bad Boy Records.
That kind of opportunity doesn’t come around often, so Doe was hopeful.
The night took a dark turn at the afterparty
After his set, Doe went to an afterparty held at the back of the club. The lawsuit claims the place was packed with famous faces, many of them using drugs.
At some point, one of Combs’ associates gave Doe a drink, saying it was from Diddy himself. Not long after drinking it, Doe realized something was wrong — he’d been drugged.
Disturbing events unfolded as Doe lost consciousness
Doe says he drifted in and out of consciousness. In those blurry moments, he saw Diddy and his crew involved in group s*x with people who “appeared either drugged, unconscious, or as if they were paid escorts.”
At one point, Doe says he woke up to Diddy groping him. He also believed Diddy had performed oral s*x on him while he was out of it.
Doe attempted to escape after regaining consciousness
When Doe fully came to, he tried to fight Diddy off. But he was warned that if he didn’t go along with things, his music career would be over before it even started. Diddy allegedly told him to sleep with a woman.
Doe pretended he needed water and had to use the bathroom, but instead, he bolted — ran straight to the parking lot, jumped in his car, and took off.
Diddy’s legal team responded to the allegations
In response to these claims, Diddy’s attorneys told Variety, “As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every new publicity stunt, even in response to claims that are facially ridiculous or demonstrably false.”
“Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never s*xually assaulted or trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor.”
Diddy is awaiting trial on other charges
Right now, Diddy is sitting in a Brooklyn prison. He’s waiting for his trial in May, where he’ll face charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering.
New developments in the updated indictment
Just last week, prosecutors updated the indictment. They now say Diddy transported, helped, and supported three female victims — that’s two more than they had originally claimed.
They also shifted the timeline on his racketeering charge, dating it back to 2004, which is four years earlier than what they first stated.
The allegations raise broader industry concerns
This latest lawsuit is just one more on a growing list of legal battles for Diddy. The accusations keep stacking up, painting a troubling picture of one of the music industry’s biggest names.
As the case heads to court, all eyes will be on what unfolds next. Stay tuned for updates as this story develops.
