It appears that Khloé Kardashian hasn’t learned her lesson.
After the reality star experienced major backlash for promoting weight loss shakes in the past, she went ahead and made the same decisions again.
This time, though, fans really aren’t letting her off the hook.
Khloé promoting weight loss shakes has never gone down well with fans.
A prime example of this took place in March when the reality star shared an Instagram post promoting meal-replacement shakes from Flat Tummy Co.
“Loving the way my tummy looks right now you guys!” she wrote in the since-deleted post.
Since the shakes promote toxic diet and weight-loss culture, it didn’t take long before fans shared their true feelings on the matter.
Even actress Jameela Jamil got involved in the drama.
The Good Place star, who’s a vocal feminist and a body-positive advocate, left a scathing comment on the single mother’s Instagram.
“If you’re too irresponsible to: a) own up to the fact that you have a personal trainer, nutritionist, probable chef, and a surgeon to achieve your aesthetic, rather than this laxative product…” she began.
“And b) tell them the side effects of this NON-FDA approved product, that most doctors are saying aren’t healthy […] then I guess I have to.”
The actress then urged the reality star to become a smarter role model for the women who follow her.
“It’s incredibly awful that this industry bullied you until you became this fixated on your appearance. That’s the media’s fault. But now please don’t put that back into the world, and hurt other girls, the way you would have been hurt. You’re a smart woman. Be smarter than this.”
Due to all the backlash, Khloé ended up deleting the entire sponsored post.
But not without leaving her two-cents on the matter…
While speaking with The New York Times , she shared that while she doesn’t have a personal chef, she does have a personal trainer.
Khloé then made it clear that she’s always been open about this, adding that she often shares snippets of their workouts together on Snapchat.
“Well, listen, I am showing you what to do, silly person, 15 repetitions, three times, here’s the move …,” Khloé told The New York Times .
Big sis Kim also defended the family’s decision to take on these kind of sponsorship deals.
“If there is work that is really easy that doesn’t take away from our kids, that’s like a huge priority,” Kardashian West said.
“If someone was faced with the same job opportunities, I think they would maybe consider.”
Khloé seems to have adopted this philosophy as she recently shared yet *another* post promoting the weight loss shakes.
If past controversy taught her anything, Khloé at least began her post by making mention of the claims Jamil has previously made against her.
“#ad Okay… LISTEN UP. I’ve posted with @flattummyco’s Shakes many times in the past and YES, I also use a personal trainer and a nutritionist,” she wrote.
“But seriously you guys, everything counts. THESE SHAKES WORK to help get your tummy back to flat, especially after a super busy holiday season, and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing,” she said, before then sharing how she makes her shake.
Not surprisingly, fans weren’t picking up what Khloé was throwing down.
They ended up sharing their concerns on Twitter, along with criticizing the reality star for using her platform to perpetuate diet culture.
Those who suffer with eating disorders were even triggered by the Kardashian’s post.
“They really never give it a [expletive] rest do they,” another wrote, taking a stab at the whole Kardashian-Jen family.
Since Jamil has had choice words for Khloé’s involvement with Flat Tummy Shakes before, fans have been calling on the actress to do the same now.
They knew they could count on her to set Khloé straight.
And guess what! Jamil delivered. The actress recently shared her response to Khloé’s post:
