Now that the cold weather is here, I pretty much want to hibernate. I don’t want to leave my house for any reason unless I really have to. Ha, ha! If you’re like me, you might want to make your place as cozy as humanly possible.
To accomplish this task I’ve got a cool idea for you that’s a take on a traditional Japanese sofa with a modern twist.

Kotasu is a low, wooden table frame that is covered by a futon or a heavy blanket upon which a tabletop sits.
It also features a heat source right underneath.
Kotasu are mostly used in Japan but they have started popping up in other places.

Honestly, I’ve never even heard of this concept but looking at these pictures I’m really starting to dig it.
Although it would probably make me want to hibernate even longer.
