Hollywood’s hunk of man, Colin Farrell , becomes unrecognizable as he transforms into one of Batman’s popular nemesis, Penguin. The star has been spotted several times around New York donning his stunning costume.
Spotted On Tuesday

Colin Farrell was seen arriving on the set of The Penguin early on Tuesday morning by 8 am.
Earlier On Set

Before his dramatic transformation into his Penguin character, the Golden Globe award winner was spotted wearing a gray V-neck shirt earlier in the day. Matching his top, the 46-year-old actor wore navy sweatpants with black-and-white Adidas slides.
Hours Long Prosthetics

Reports from sources around the production set state that from the time Farrell went in to get his costume worn till the time he came out, it took three long hours.
Looking Unrecognizable

While moving around the streets of New York in his costume, Farrell looked unrecognizable, as most commuters passing by didn’t know they were staring at one of Hollywood’s sexiest.
Missing Natural Features

The new look bestowed on the Irish actor hid all his natural features and facial contour lines. His regular look was replaced with deep facial scars, a doughier chin, and a more hooked nose for his new series, The Penguin .
Signature Look

It’s bye-bye to all of Colin Farrell’s signature bushy eyebrow look for many of his fans. His known dark locs and physique have all been hidden with expert Hollywood cosmetics.
Transformation Process

The Banshees of Inisherin star was covered by layers of different prosthetics that helped him achieve the bulky look of Oswald ‘OZ’ Cobblepot, a.k.a Penguin — giving him pockmarked skin and multiple chins.
Looking Heavy

Farrell’s costume padding on his body gave him a more heavy-looking and bulky appearance for his role in The Penguin . Although he still looks slightly slimmer than most illustrations of the character from the comics.
How He Looked

Rocking his new costume in New York, Farrell was seen wearing a black leather overcoat with wide lapels, matched with a white shirt inside and a short tie. He also channeled his inner Don Corleone look by pairing his dress with black leather shoes.
New Hair

Farrell’s known dark spiky hairstyle was replaced by a balding plate of cosmetics having thin strands of receding hair slipping backward.
Temperature Rising

While on set, Farrell was also seen to have removed his overcoat and suit jacket. The temperature became too hot for the star inside all the Prosthetics.
Not Stopping Him Though

Fortunately, the prosthetics and heat couldn’t stop Farrell from performing his activities as Penguin. He was spotted taking several puffs from a vaping device at the top of the set steps.
Reprising His Role

The Alexander star will be reprising his role as DC’s Batman supervillain, Penguin, for HBO’s 8-episode mini-series, The Penguin .
About Penguin

Penguin (or Oswald ‘OZ’ Cobblepot) is a Gotham City mobster. From the comics, this character has been pitched to be one of Batman’s enemies, popular for his heavyset body structure and receding hairline.
Unknown To Many In ‘The Batman’

Some DC fans that watched last year’s The Batman were unaware of Colin Farrell’s presence in the movie due to the heavy prosthetics he wore while playing Penguin.
Standalone Series

The Oscar-nominated actor told media outlets at the Palm Springs International Film Festival that he didn’t know Penguin would get a standalone series. He told Variety , “The only thing I had an idea was that I wasn’t nearly getting to explore the character as much as I wanted to.”
Putting The Makeup To Use

Farrell told outlets that he wanted to pursue a spin-off because of Mike Marino’s stunning prosthetic work.
“Because there was all this extraordinary work done by Mike Marino and Mike Fontaine and his team, and I just thought it was the tip of the iceberg, pardon the pun, that we were getting to do the six or seven scenes that we did in the film. I was grateful for them, but I wanted more.”
Plot Hidden

The exact storyline and plot guiding the upcoming series remain a mystery. But, it is suspected that the mini-series follows immediately after the events of The Batman when Penguin becomes the boss of the crime family following the death of Carmine Falcone.
Release Date

While the upcoming series continues its production throughout the week, HBO or a production team member has not hinted at a release date for The Penguin .
