Having an absolutely soul-crushing embarrassing story is all apart of growing up, and if it hasn’t happened to you yet, you should be very, very afraid.
Here’s mine: Once I was on a public bus, on my way home, and there were a few people sitting behind me that also went to my school. Anyway, I could overhear them talking, and it sounded like they were talking badly about me behind my back. So I turned around and said “You know I can hear you, right?” in a very combative, sassy tone.

Turned out they weren’t talking about me at all, and I just made a fool of myself. That was eight years ago, and I still think about it all the time.
Chrissy Teigen tweeted out, wanting to hear some of our most embarrassing stories.
If I was as famous as Chrissy Teigen, I would ask people questions like this all the time on Twitter, just so I’d regularly have new, gripping, and hilarious, reading material.
She also let us know that her most embarrassing story is a doozy, but she wasn’t prepared to divulge that information to us yet.
Okay, she can’t say stuff like this and then not tell us. This is a scam.
Not even her own husband knows what it is.
Now I feel like everyone else’s story is not going to live up to the hype that she’s created over her own story. That’s not fair to the others.
It must be a good one.
It’s going to drive me crazy not knowing what her embarrassing story is.
I’m going to bribe her lawyer. I don’t care if it’s illegal.
But at least we get to read some other really juicy stories from other people.
I’ll still be wondering about Chrissy’s story for as long as I live. But in the meantime, here are some other incredibly embarrassing stories.
To start things off, this person wore their mom’s pants to school.
OMG, I am crying for this person.
Every single time I use an airplane washroom, or any washroom for that matter, but more specifically airplane washrooms because the door opens so easily and there’s always a line up of people waiting outside, I consciously make sure to lock the door.
My worst nightmare happened to this lady.
When you grab the nearest object to stop yourself from falling over and that object happens to be a man’s penis.
It’s hard not to reach for something to save you when you’re falling down. It’s instinctive. But this is definitely not the thing you’d hope to grab.
If this doesn’t make you cringe, I don’t know what will.
I can’t imagine a more awkward scenario than this. It’s like asking a blind person to look at something.
So cringe .
When you go to school with “BJ” written on your face.
I’d say that to be safe, you should never go to school with something written on your face?
This person’s case is an extreme example of why not .
When you accidentally almost sit your bare butt down on someone’s lap.
I am cackling at this, and I have so many questions.
Why did the person inside not lock the door? How did the other person not see the person already sitting down inside?
So much wrong with this story, but I love it.
Nothing like letting one rip on your crush’s leg.
This is absolutely mortifying. Especially for a girl.
She thought she was having a cute, romantic moment with her crush, and it turns out she was doing something that even some long-term relationships never see.
This would be so horrifying.
Mainly I just feel bad for the employee who, most likely, had their confidence brutally destroyed in an email.
They’re probably more embarrassed than the person who sent the email.
What a way to start the day.
This is a four-in-one story. Not only did she trip and fall in front of an audience, but she fell onto a person’s car, spilt coffee everywhere, and had her dress end up over head.
I felt this.
When you accidentally sext your girlfriend’s mom.
I’m screaming. This is so brutal.
If I was him, I would just end the relationship so that I would never have to see her mom ever again.
This is exactly why students shouldn’t have to ask permission to use the washroom.
It just doesn’t make sense. I could understand letting your teacher know that you’re going to the bathroom. But no teacher should ever deny a student when nature calls.
My face hurts from laughing at this.
This is a hilarious story. I am just picturing some kid awkwardly moonwalking all over the gymnasium trying to prove that he didn’t fart.
In all fairness, the way they worded that was a bit strange.
I would have gone with “we are trying to make a movie on time after this” or something like that.
“we are making a movie” doesn’t sound right.
When you accidentally proposition your boyfriend’s roommate, naked.
Yikes.
The fact that this person was posing naked while this happened is what makes this story so rich.
I wish marinara’s trench was a real place. It sounds delicious.
I would go there with a giant plate of mozzarella sticks, and it would be awesome.
Falling down a flight of stairs in public is bad enough. Head-butting an infant is the real cherry on top of this story.
Praying for the baby though!
When your own dad is laughing at your fails.
If I’m being honest, this is me when I try to play any sport, ever.
So, this one really hit home.
I feel like servers have the best embarrassing stories.
They interact with strangers constantly on a daily basis. There are so many opportunities for things to go awry.
This reminds me of all the times I’ve been at the store with my mom, and I’d start talking to the person next to me thinking it’s her, but it wasn’t her.
Except this is 10 times worse.
