Oh boy, guys. It’s Marvel press tour time, and you know what that means: lots of ridiculous stories from some of the most recognizable people on the planet.
Actors Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, and Ageless Paul Rudd stopped by Jimmy Kimmel to talk all things Avengers , and…well, the interview took a bit of a turn.
Jimmy kicked the story off by bringing up their recent trip to Disneyland.

A few days before, RDJ, Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, and Brie Larson hit up Disneyland for some Avengers: Endgame promo.
While they were there, they obviously took advantage of the rides. Who wouldn’t?
Scarlett said they rode the newest Guardians of the Galaxy ride.

In case you don’t know, Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission Breakout! used to be the Tower of Terror. This will be important later on.
Anyway, the whole cast went — except Robert.
He didn’t have a great history with that ride.
Earlier this year, they had his son’s birthday at Disneyland. In Robert’s words:
“I was there February 7th for my kid’s birthday. We went on that ride, and I almost yakked.”
So yeah, RDJ skipped the rides this time.
The whole gang had a ton of fun.

Scarlett pointed out that Chris’ team rode the ride too, which prompted a memory for Chris.
Buckle up, because Chris Hemsworth is about to display some hilariously questionable parenting skills, guys.
See, back when the ride was still the Tower of Terror, he went on it.
And he wanted to take his daughter with him. However, since the Tower of Terror is a pretty legit thrill ride, there’s a height restriction on it!
And his daughter wasn’t tall enough.
Disney’s rules were no match for Thor.
His daughter really wanted to ride it, so they found a way around it. Chris said,
“She wasn’t tall enough, and she was really upset, so I said, ‘Come here.’ So I grabbed a couple Snickers bars and things and slammed them in the back of her shoe, under her heel.”
This has big Thor energy.

They walked up to the ride, and were allowed on.
The audience was into the story. Scarlett laughed,
“This was wildly irresponsible, as well, and you’re all cheering!”
She’s right, but since we know his daughter is okay…I’m gonna wait for the rest of the story.
It got worse.

Sidebar: the best part of this story is watching the other 3 react to it.
Anyway, Chris and his daughter make it onto the ride. The car climbs to the top, and then drops.
So, so much worse.

“We’re at the top, I’m looking at her, she’s strapped in. You know the seat is massive on her. And I’m like, ‘We beat the system, honey!’ And then it drops, and she went…”
The only way I can describe the sound he made is maybe…”zip.”
The screencap speaks for itself.
The others were dumbfounded as he told the story.

Chris immediately grabbed onto her and held her down.
“She’s like, screaming the whole way down. I was like, maybe there’s a reason there’s a height —”
Robert screeched out, “MAYBE!”
When you watch it, you’ll agree it was a screech.
She’s okay, though.
“So, don’t do that. Don’t do that.” Chris gives the best parenting advice, guys.
He made sure to reassure everyone that she was fine. I find that to be a miracle, tbh.
Scarlett made fun of him and the audience.

“I mean…woohoo, go Chris! Father of the year! Yes!” She pumped her arms in triumph.
Again, the best part of this is Robert Downey Jr cracking up while she does it.
Chris finished off the story with a flourish.

“I’m her hero!” He said, while the others laughed.
Luckily, Jimmy Kimmel was there to get to the real heart of the matter: sticking Snickers in her sneakers. He said it really did work in a pinch.
Moral of the story…
Don’t let Thor take your (or his) kids to Disneyland without them being at least of Tower of Terror height.
Otherwise, you may be out a kid at worst, and some Snickers bars at best.

If you want to see the cast talk Avengers: Endgame , tattoos, and to hear Chris’ story for yourself, check the video out.
I recommend watching it for Scarlett and Robert’s reactions alone.
