During an Appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, Chris Explained That His Trainer for the Stunt Had Given Him a Special Set of Instructions
“The guy who was training me said, ‘You know what, you want to be as lean and light as possible. You want to be strong but don’t put on too much weight .'” Taking the advice to heart, Chris decided that it would be best to film the rope climb before he began bulking up for Thor: Love and Thunder.
Not Long After Chris Began Training for the Stunt, He Completely Blew His Ankle Out
“Then Marvel stepped in and said, ‘No, no. The show that might kill him? You can do that after our film .'” Therefore, Chris was forced to hold off and perform the rope climb while still in Thor-shape. “My trainer looked at me and said, ‘You’re screwed. This is going to be the hardest thing you’ve ever done.'” At that point, Chris explained that completing the task was less about strength and more about harnessing sheer will and determination.
