Practicing celibacy is not an everyday occurrence for the recently married couple. Anyone who watches The Kardashians on Hulu knows that they love to be affectionate with each other. They have even been trying for a baby together.
That’s precisely why they performed a “sex fast” so they could have a better chance at conceiving.
“Oh, my God, it was crazy,” the reality star told Bustle in March 2022 about their sex fast . “But it actually made everything better.”
Justin Bieber
While most guys hook up with a lot of women after a breakup, the “Peaches” singer did just the opposite.
He did “a self-imposed tenure of celibacy” while broken up with his now-wife, Hailey Bieber.
“I wanted to rededicate myself to God in that way because I really felt it was better for the condition of my soul,” he told Vogue .
Jordin Sparks
“I don’t want to give away bits of my soul to lots of different guys,” the singer said in an interview. “I want to give all of myself to the right man on the right night. And the right night is my wedding.”
Andrew Garfield
Some actors will do whatever it takes to prepare for a role — including abstaining from sex.
Garfield took a break for six months while preparing for the role as a priest in for the 2016 Martin Scorsese movie Silence.
He also did a lot of food fasting at this time.
“It was very cool, man. I had some pretty wild, trippy experiences from starving myself of sex and food at that time,” he said on the “WTF With Marc Maron” podcast .
Julianne Hough
Although the actress abstained from sex with her ex-husband, Brooks Laich, that doesn’t mean that they didn’t do other stuff. She admitted to having steamy phone sex sessions .
As a whole, though, she said that remaining celibate “strengthens” relationships.

Believe it or not, Nick Cannon has been celibate before. The father of eight, soon-to-be nine children said in an interview that his therapist encouraged him to abstain from sex after learning about his eighth child with model Bre Tiesi.
That wasn’t the first time he was celibate.
Back when he was engaged to Mariah Carey, they decided to wait until they were married to have sex. “We both have similar beliefs, and I just thought that it would be so much more special if we waited until after we were married,” she told Daily Mirror in 2008 .
