You’ve heard of Where’s Waldo, now get ready for: Where The Hell is This Damn Ring Oh My God. Here’s the lowdown: Reddit users are abuzz trying to find a hidden ring hidden in a picture of a ton of seashells posted by Redditor deerose. Everyone is working hard to find the ring, and in true Reddit fashion, they’re doing it in the funniest way possible. Let’s check out the comments — and more importantly, let’s find that damn ring.
Posted to Reddit community r/FindtheSniper – a subreddit dedicated to finding camouflaged items or people in plain sight – user deerose put a challenge to their fellow Redditors: find a silver ring amongst the seashells and sand. Let me be the first to say: this one is hard.
After one user claimed to have found it, deerose let us in on a secret: the ring is silver, with no stone showing. So, we’re looking for a plain silver band. A silver band scattered alongside a bunch of white and grey seashells. Sure. Seems easy!
We might need some more hints.

I have yet to find the band as I’m typing this, but I have been scrolling the comments to get some hints. Redditors helpfully hid the answer behind spoiler tags (aka blacked out text you have to click on to reveal), so I’m still on the hunt right alongside you. However, user SFR51 helpfully supplied that the band is beaded, while EelBait said that it looks like braided rope. We can work with that!
Some users found everything but the ring.

Including a pearl! This one took me a minute to find, but if you zoom in towards the bottom of the image and look close to the middle, you’ll be able to find the pearl I screenshotted above. Man, nature is so cool.
So I found it quick, just thought it might be a shell or something. Almost looked like a striped worm or something.
Well, that’s a lovely mental image that I won’t be able to get out of my head for a little while. Still others said they dismissed it when they saw it — one user even said they thought it was the jawbone of a fish!
I found a shell with a heart on it and stopped looking for a ring ?
Which I am very jealous of, because I have not been able to find that specific rock for the life of me. Other people commented how epic it was, which just made me more upset that I couldn’t find it. I want to see a heart on a rock! If you see it, let me know.
Just checking in: Have you found it yet?

I’ve been doing quadrant scanning, moving up and down in sections to try and find the ring. It has not been successful at all, but I’m determined to find this damn thing on my own. This is the hardest game of “I, Spy” I’ve played in a long time, I’m gonna be honest.
Dee provided another detail about the ring.

Apparently, it isn’t just beads around the ring! deerose said that though it is hard to tell in the picture, the ring apparently has stars all around it. Okay, so we have a lot of info on this ring, but where on Earth is it?!
SPOILERS: REVEAL AHEAD!

Here’s the reveal! Disclaimer: I totally found this by myself (I promise), with only one additional hint from a commenter: it was somewhere on the left side. I just needed to flex about that.
So, did you find it before the reveal? What other stuff did you see? Let us know in the comments!
Oh, and in case you were wondering…

The gorgeous, shell-filled beach caught a lot of Redditors’ eyes, prompting them to ask where it is! deerose revealed that it’s a beach on Fire Island, just off the shore of Long Island in New York. Looks like it’s a great place to go pearl hunting!
