On July 6th, the world was shocked and devastated to learn that actor Cameron Boyce had passed away at only 20 years old. While his passing was confirmed by a statement from the family, Cameron’s father Victor has just made a personal statement on his own Twitter account.
Cameron was known for his work with Disney.
He starred on the show Jessie from 2011 until 2015, and has also played Carlos De Vil in the Descendants films. He’d made many appearances on shows like Liv and Maddie, Good Luck Charlie, and Shake It Up.

He had also gained recognition for his work on “Grown Ups” and “Grown Ups 2.”
Cameron played Keithie Feder, one of Adam Sandler’s children, in these movies, where he was praised for his comedic skills.
Cameron’s passing was confirmed by a statement from the family.
“It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron,” a spokesperson for the family told CNN . “He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated.”
The family said, “The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights.”
“But his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him. We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother,” read the statement.
The love and support for Cameron and his family has been incredible.
Adam Sandler, who played Cameron’s father in the Grown Ups films, shared this photo of Cameron with the caption, “Too young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around. Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world.”
His words were incredibly emotional.
“Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us. So much more was on the way. All our hearts are broken. Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences,” Sandler’s statement ended.
‘Jessie’ star Debby Ryan shared a video of Cameron on her Instagram story.
The video was taken during Cameron’s acceptance speech at the 2018 Thirst Gala for the Pioneering Spirit Award. In the clip, Cameron says, “It’s crazy, we can tweet whenever we want and we can use social media and Instagram and make the world a better place.”
“Instead of a worse one, which so many people use it for.”
“We need to use what we have and make the world a better place for other people, other people, people who need us,” Cameron’s speech concluded.
Skai Jackson, who played Cameron’s younger sister on ‘Jessie’, also shared a touching post.
Skai shared a series of photographs of her and Cameron, with the caption, “I don’t even know where to start… I am at a loss for words. I never thought in a million years I would be writing this. Cam, you were one of a kind. My heart will be forever broken.”
“I am so happy that I got to spend almost everyday with you on set.”
“You gave the best hugs. I wish I would have hugged you tighter when I saw you a couple of months ago. Thank you so much for being the big brother I never had… I am so distraught and I cannot stop crying! I love you so much… fly high. Gods best Angel.” Skai’s post read.

Peyton’s message continued, “My kids will hear about you with every lesson and your legacy will live on. Too much talent and love to go so soon.”
“You are the most special person I’ve ever had the honor of encountering Cameron Boyce.”
“You left everyone including me better than when you found them. Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. Wish I could hug you one last time Cam. My hear is broken I’ve never hurt this bad. Your sister forever and always, Peyton.”

YouTuber and makeup guru James Charles also shared his love.
Charles referred to Cameron as one of the kindest people he’d ever met, a sentiment echoed by many of Cameron’s friends and family.
Fellow Disney star and dancer Alyson Stoner shared her thoughts.
Stoner’s sweet message highlighted once again Cameron’s warmth and star power, and made sure to leave a message of support for Cameron’s parents and sister.
Cameron’s father, Victor Boyce, has now made a tweet on his personal account.
His tweet read, “I’m overwhelmed with the love and support our family has received. It really doe help to ease the pain of this nightmare I can’t wake up from. I can’t thank you guys enough.”
Cameron was very close to his family.
He frequently shared photos of his family on his social media, like this touching shot of a FaceTime call between his parents and himself.
Cameron had once shared this piece of fan art on his account.
He had captioned the artwork, “One of my favorite pieces ever. Happy birthday to my literal other half. Love you Dad.”
Musician Hozier also shared his condolences.
Cameron appeared as a dancer in the music video for Hozier’s song ‘Almost’ back in April, and shared this photograph of their time together on set.
Charles Esten, who played Cameron’s father on ‘Jessie’, also shared his thoughts.
Esten shared that Cameron had attended elementary school with his children, and that he was always kind, humble, graceful, and had a fantastic sense of humor.
Esten highlighted how close the cast of ‘Jessie’ was.
Esten shared that the cast was as close as real siblings would be, and still are, and that they were in his thoughts during this time.
Esten shared a message of love and prayers for the Boyce family.
Esten shared his sympathies with Cameron’s family as they go through this incredibly difficult time.
The chairman and CEO of the Walt Disney Company tweeted a personal message.
The official Disney Channel PR account also added a message, saying, “Rest in peace, you’ll always be in our hearts.”
