A Bride Is Wearing Her Dress Every Day For A Year To Get Her Money's Worth

Wedding dresses are seriously pricey, there's no doubt about it. Some women spend upwards of $5,000 and more on their gown for their big day. Even though it will only be worn once, people want to feel glamorous! There's nothing wrong with that.

One new bride is determined to get the most bang for her buck out of her wedding dress — she plans to wear it all year long!

Dawn Winfield-Hunt is the 57-year-old newlywed who plans on casually wearing her wedding dress for a full year.

“Usually you only get to wear your dress once and then you put it in a box and forget about it," she told The Sun.

But, she liked her dress so much she decided to wear it to her friend's barbecue the following day.

The rest is history.

She said, “I plan on wearing it every now and then until my first anniversary next year, it will be covered in seaweed, wine stains and probably won’t even be white anymore but I don’t care.”

So, Dawn really is living up to her word.

She's proudly flaunted the gown in grocery store aisles, she's worn it paddle boarding, and she even does chores in it.

She even wore it out to a concert. New trend alert?

Her husband, Steve, is always camera-ready, capturing his wife in all her wedding dress glory.

“I love that the dress makes other people happy too.”
