Oprah Took An Instagram Troll To School After He Accused Her Of Not Being Charitable

An Instagram troll called out Oprah for not paying off a student's debt after her commencement speech at Colorado College, and she clapped back more perfectly than any of us could have ever imagined.

Don't mess with Oprah!

First and foremost, before we get into this, lets take a quick look at all the ways that Oprah Winfrey gives back to the world.

She is one of the richest most powerful women on the planet — and she still finds ways to roll up her sleeves and help the less fortunate.

Oprah is a big advocate for women's rights, and she's shown that by donating to various campaigns dedicated to empowering women.

In 2018 she reportedly contributed $100,000 to the Time’s Up campaign — a that seeks to improve employment agreements and corporate policies to better hold accountable those guilty of discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace.

She also pledged $1 million to "N Street Village" in 2016.

This nonprofit organization provides services, housing and advocacy to homeless and low-income women.

She even attended a fundraising luncheon for the cause, and praised it for "transforming the lives of women in need."

In 2018, when Oprah made an appearance on “Good Morning America,” she revealed that she was donating $50,000 to a campaign started by a 14-year-old girl in Florida.

The campaign mission was to raise enough cash for 1,000 young black girls in her hometown to see Oprah's movie A Wrinkle In Time.

Oprah also started up her own charity known as "The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls".

She founded it in 2007, and it is still going strong today.

In an interview with Variety, she revealed that she has put in an estimated $140 million over the past 10 years into this charity — allowing underprivileged girls to go to school.

She pays for all of the girls' living expenses in the academy — including uniforms and dental care.

She's also committed to spending time with each of the girls whenever she visits the campus — making it a point to have fireside chats with them and stay up-to-date on their lives.

Evidently, Oprah Winfrey is a saint.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. Oprah donates substantial amounts to countless causes all over the world — on a mission to help as many people as she can.

After Oprah gave a speech on Monday at Colorado College, she posted a photo on Instagram of herself and one of the graduates.

“I don’t know who this guy is but he sure is happy to graduate! I shook hands with all 571 members of @coloradocollege's Class of 2019 and gave them a copy of The Path Made Clear," she captioned it.

But one unpleasant Instagram user commented — pointing out that Oprah isn't doing enough for students, given how much money she makes.

“should have paid off their student debt," the person wrote.

But Oprah fired back with some knowledge, letting the troll know that she has already done and continues to do her part to help students.

“Already paid 13 m in scholarships. Have put over 400 men thru @morehouse1867," she replied.

Fans immediately rushed to Oprah's defence.

This fan commented that just because Oprah is rich doesn't mean she is obligated to hand her money out to anyone — and yet, she does.

Another fan wrote that Oprah gives back more than most people — just because it isn't always shown in the media doesn't mean it isn't happening.

They followed up asking what the troll has does recently to help.

Some fans loved how quickly Oprah shut down the troll.

This person pointed out that their son was one of the 400 people that Oprah put through college.

She can't pay for everyone that wants to go to college. But by creating scholarships, she's allowing people to actually earn it.

This fan revealed another good deed that Oprah has done in the past — helping build neighborhoods for families after hurricane Katrina.

So, there you have it. Don't mess with the queen of charitable donations because she will put you in your place.
