Few actors on this planet are as universally beloved as Keanu Reeves. He's done everything from hard-hitting action flicks to tear-jerker romance movies — and we've loved every minute of it.
However, incredibly talented though he is, what Keanu is arguably best-known for these days are his acts of kindness that take place off-camera — such as this incredibly wholesome moment he shared with a young fan while at the airport.
As the late great Art LaFleur so eloquently phrased it in The Sandlot, "Heroes get remembered, but legends never die." And when it comes to cementing the status of the iconic Keanu Reeves — he is undoubtedly a legend.
Whether you know him as Ted "Theodore" Logan from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure or as the cold-blooded killer in the John Wick franchise, we can all agree on one thing: our unbridled love for Keanu.
Keanu's reputation for kindness precedes him. in the past, he's been spotted giving up his seat on public transit to total strangers, and he's never too busy to share an intimate moment with a fan.
"Keanu Reeves was on my flight from London to NYC today," Andrew tweeted out. "A young boy asked for an autograph at baggage & then began to fire off a series of rapid-fire questions."
The child began by asking Keanu the reason why he was in London, to which Keanu replied that he was filming a documentary.
"Yes, the Grand Prix," Keanu replied in his best French accent, not bothering to correct the boy. "F1! Race cars!"
"Not F1," Keanu specified, "but I like riding motorcycles." From there, the boy began making inquiries as to where Keanu lived, how long he planned on staying in New York, and what he planned on doing once he arrived.
It was at this point that the child began to run out of questions, so Keanu decided to ask him some of his own.
Andrew said that he was shocked to see how earnest and patient Keanu was — especially after dealing with the stress of an international flight.
For Keanu, these types of interactions are constant and fleeting. But as for that little boy, he'll remember this day for the rest of his life.
"Keanu" is actually a Hawaiian word that roughly translated means "cool breeze." But for this young fan and for the millions like him, "Keanu" will forever be synonymous with kindness, empathy, and respect.
