91-Year-Old Goes Trick-Or-Treating for the First Time Ever

You're never too old to trick-or-treat. Mary Spaeth, 91, is proof of that. The Zion, Illinois, resident just went out trick-or-treating for the first time this year. We're so glad she did.

Halloween is for all, y'all

Spaeth's daughter, Christine, says this was her mother's first time experiencing the age-old kids' holiday. It's unclear how she went this long without trick-or-treating, but the change of heart was a great decision.

Baba came bearing gifts

Buzzfeed reports that Baba brought candy for the kids she met, while adults were treated with wine and pizza. We decree this act alone should be a new tradition on Halloween.

Trick-or-treat can never go out of style

Society norms say adults shouldn't go trick-or-treating, but we're making an exception in Baba's case. Everyone should get the chance to ring a doorbell and get free candy at least once, no matter what age.

No complaints here

Who wants to be the person who tells Mary, "No, you're too old to trick-or-treat"? Good luck with your heart of stone, guy.

She was even dressed for the occasion

Mary, also known as "Baba," dressed as a bunny and wore bunny ears as she went door-to-door with the help of a walker. Let's hope the younger kids gave her some space on the porch. We would have given her a pass if she decided she didn't want to dress up, though.

These are tears of joy

This has been a bona-fide feel-good story and we're just happy to bring it to you.
