20 Sightings On The Roads That Made It Big Online

Not everyone loves to drive, but I'm sure most of us can agree that being on the road is still fun. You get to see all sorts of weird and random things from your own car, from parade floats, to weird bumper stickers, to the coolest (or worst) car you've ever seen.

This list has all of those, and pretty much everything in between. If you've ever seen something strange or incredible while on the road, you'll understand where we're coming from here.

Flip sequins car?

Not just any old car, either. That's a Porsche. Not only did someone go out and buy a super expensive sports car, but they decorated it with flip sequins? Which just so happen to look like rust spots? I bet it would've looked a lot better if they'd picked a different color.

Calling AAA for your AAA guy.

Technically, this isn't "on the road," but they would've had to drive there, so close enough, really. And how could I pass up talking about the most hilarious thing I've ever seen?

I've had to call for roadside assistance before. It's time consuming and a little embarrassing. But it looks like the service guys are human, too.

Looks very secure.

I really hope it didn't start to rain after this picture was taken. Not that it would really matter, because that dirt and those pebbles are going to go flying, no matter how many bungee cords they use to "secure" it. Drive with caution.

"Miniature traffic playground in Copenhagen where kids learn to bike in traffic."

Not everything you see on the road is weird or bad. Sometimes, the road can be a nice, safe space for people. Well, a playground made to look like a road can definitely do that.

What a cute idea! I feel like it would really help kids get used to biking on the road before they have to start dealing with annoying drivers.

That's not good...

Ambulances are among the most important vehicles around. Being in one can be the difference between life and death, especially in situations where every second counts.

So then, how did anyone get away with putting a wheel clamp on this one!? If there's an emergency and it can't move...you know what? Let's not think about that.

You can always do a worse job parking.

If you think your parking skills are lacking, at least you aren't whoever parked this pickup truck. It isn't even facing the right direction. Like, you actually have to try in order to park this badly. I almost feel like it's a skill. I guess we should be impressed by it.

Oh, the irony...

There's totally nothing wrong with wanting to support your local economy by buying American products. But it's ironic to have a bumper sticker like that...on a Japanese car. I hate to break it to this person, but Mitsubishi isn't American.

Beware of pirates!

You definitely don't see something like this every day. It's a giant pirate ship, just cruising down the road! It's a lot bigger than a parade float, so maybe it's supposed to be used as some kind of restaurant? I guess we shouldn't worry about the why, and enjoy it for what it is.

Stop.

I didn't know that stop signs came in lowercase, serif fonts. It's really weirding me out. Stop signs have looked a certain way forever basically, so even a subtle change like this just feels wildly out of place. I bet it works well, though, since people would slow down to take a look at it anyway.

Stop, but make it blue.

...Okay. As if a lowercase stop sign wasn't weird enough, now we have blue ones. When I was very little, the phrase, "red means stop, green means go" was cemented in my mind. But what does blue mean? Also stop. How are we going to remember this?

Split Volvo.

I have to admit, that's really cool. It must've taken a lot of time and patience to get that just right. I bet the paint job would've been expensive, too. That's fine, though. It's worth it just to be able to look at it in all its awesome glory.

"Two 666 license plate in a row."

Is this cursed? Blessed? So cursed that it became blessed? Who can say? All I really know is that, if you happen to see a rare sight like this, your luck is probably about to take a turn. Hopefully for the better, but it's the devil's number, so anything can happen.

Forbidden parking spot.

Something tells me they don't want you to park on the side of this road. I can't quite place my finger on what it is, though...

Seriously, did they need this many signs? Seems a bit like overkill to me. I bet they had problems with people parking there for no reason in the past, because that's the only way this would make sense.

Rose gold chrome car.

You know what? This is really nice. I wouldn't mind if cars came in this color, minus the chrome. In fact, cars should come in more color options. There's no reason why we can't make our vehicles look pretty.

...Close enough.

Well, it's a drive thru. And this guy is technically on some kind of vehicle. So it's got to count. Probably.

I think the funniest thing is the fact that this guy opted for the drive thru with a scooter when he could've just walked in.

A very convincing paint job.

Some people opt to paint their cars weird colors or patterns. This person opted for an optical illusion, and I really can't be mad. There is, after all, a whole dog painting on there. And it looks so realistic, you'd probably mistaken it for the real deal at a glance.

No space for cyclists.

The irony is not lost here, that's for sure. Someone out there really thought that the best way to get people to give cyclists space on the road was to...put up a sign. In the bike lane. Blocking the bike lane. Sigh.

"Oil tank has a gauge on the outside to show how much it’s holding."

Huh. That's actually really interesting. It's like a fuel gauge that you'd see on a car's dashboard, except much larger and on the back. I don't think it has any real use on the road, but it would probably be helpful when that truck reaches its destination.

Sports car convention.

That isn't just a group of red cars...that's a group of the same red car. To be specific, it's a group of the exact same red Ferrari. Do you think one person owns all of them? If so, do you think they'd mind doing a little giveaway?

Mossy Jeep.

I'd really like to know how you'd even go about doing something like this. Like, who would you even get to put a bunch of moss and rocks on your car? Also, why would you want to put a bunch of moss and rocks on your car?
