We love our parents. They’ve got our back, ya know? Our parents want to support us and we love that for ourselves.
However, things can take a QUICK turn when said parent tries to interject themselves into our social media dramz!
Which is unfortunately what’s happening with Brody Jenner and his mom, Linda Thompson.

And yes, this is absolutely THE Linda Thompson that dated Elvis Presley.
But that’s neither here nor there.
These days, Linda is feverishly liking shady comments about Brody’s ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter and her new fling, Miley Cyrus.
The two were spotted making out on a yacht in Italy.
The drama all started when Brody made a joke alluding to said make-out in the comments of this Instagam pic:
“Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today,” he wrote.
Now this is when things get messy. Brody’s friend Brandon Lee made a joke under the pic, leaving a comment saying “Let’s round this scandal out and post a pic of us making out.”
Obviously alluding to the pics of Miley and Kaitlynn.
Brody joked back, saying “Watch out! Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon!”
YOWZA!
Miley wasn’t having any of it and shut both boys down with a V saucy reply:
“@brodyjenner go take a nap in your truck and cool off #HotGirlSummer.”
Not wanting to miss out on the fun, Linda posted this inspirational quote by none other than the Dalai Lama:
“When feelings are ineffable, often it is better to say nothing at all,” she wrote.
Of course, Linda then began liking some of these NOT VERY NICE ~comments~ below the quote.
“Liam and Brody must be hurting the girls clearly had no regard for them by allowing their display to be made public,” one woman wrote.
When Linda posted another inspirational quote (“Please don’t just people…you never truly know the daily struggles of others”), Kaitlynn actually left a comment saying “EXACTLY!!”
Tea???
To which Linda replied, “And for the record honey, the only ‘shade’ I throw is my own shadow walking away from the drama.”
Linda concluded, “You know I love you. I always have & always will.”
On one hand, I totally get wanting to be there and support your son in anyway you can.
On the other hand, pls stay out of this sweet Linda.
Brody had this to say about the hate being directed towards his ex-wife:
Kaitlynn even commented a red heart emoji, so you know it’s real.
Besides, it seems like Brody has also moved on and has been spotted out with Josie Conseco.
It’s all getting pretttttty messy if you ask me.
