Coley Laffoon is honoring his late ex-wife Anne Heche , who passed away in August at 53 after suffering terrible injuries in a vehicle accident. In honor of their son Homer’s 21st birthday, Laffoon posted a touching tribute to Heche on Instagram on Thursday.

The L.A. County coroner declared Heche’s death accidental and found the actor died of heat burns and inhalation, with a sternum fracture from blunt force trauma contributing “substantially.” 12% of her skin’s surface was scorched, and she had a lacerated right kidney.
