Amber Heard, 39, announced the birth of her twins to the world on Mother’s Day on May 11 in an emotional Instagram post. She is already a mother to four-year-old daughter Oonagh Paige and now, she has twins to add to “the Heard gang.”
She announced her pregnancy news in December 2024 with few details. Now, she has revealed the newborns’ genders and names.
Her Instagram post was moving
She welcomed her twins on this special day, saying: “Mother’s Day 2025 will be one I’ll never forget. This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years.”
“My daughter Agnes and my son Ocean are keeping my hands (and my heart) full,” added Heard.
She reminisced about having Oonagh
“When I had my first baby girl Oonagh four years ago, my world changed forever. I thought I couldn’t possibly burst with more joy. Well, now I am bursting times three!!!” she explained.
“Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life,” the mother of three continued.
She concluded her statement with an emotional touch
“To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you. Love always, A x,” she concluded.
A spokesperson told People on May 11: “Amber is delighted to welcome the twins and complete her family. Mama and babies are enjoying every minute. And Oonagh is happily running the show.”
Heard cherishes privacy
“A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business. I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this,” Heard wrote when she gave birth to Oonagh in 2021 on Instagram.
The Heard vs. Depp trial was a roller coaster
The Aquaman superstar was married to Johnny Depp from 2015 to 2016. Depp filed a defamation lawsuit against Heard for a Washington Post op-ed she wrote after their divorce.
The legal battle ended in 2022 with Depp winning the case, and Heard was ordered to pay him $15 million in damages, while Depp was ordered to pay her $2 million in her counterclaim.
She moved to Spain afterward
After her legal battle with Depp, she moved to Madrid to open a new chapter for herself, “living her best life in Spain.”
The aim of her travel was to be a mother freely, away from all the post-trial drama.
