Ordering from Amazon has become such a regular part of many of our lifestyles because it’s quick, convenient, and we don’t have to leave our homes to get our packages.
However, not everyone considers how hard it can be for delivery carriers to get to our delivery locations, whether it’s a home, apartment, office, or elsewhere. While there can be some hazards that we don’t even think about, fortunately, there’s one Amazon driver who decided to speak up and tell a homeowner about a vital home security issue she noticed when making a delivery.
This delivery driver wasn’t afraid to drop some true concerns she had about the residential address.
Package deliveries are increasing as time goes by

Amazon alone delivers billions of packages yearly and the amount continues to increase. In 2023, Amazon delivered over 4.8 billion packages in the United States.
They utilize drivers and vans while also partnering with local postal services. What can we say? People love their packages.
People have found ways to be considerate of delivery carriers

Everyone’s excited when they know a package delivery is coming up, but they may not always consider how they can make the process easy and safe for the carrier.
Providing clear delivery instructions, making sure the path to the doorway is clear, and ensuring there aren’t any excited pets ready to greet the mail person are all helpful things to consider.
A homeowner had an unexpected message from their Amazon carrier

A woman named Jessica Huseman posted a video on TikTok that her home doorbell camera recorded.
The video showed an Amazon carrier standing in front of her door, speaking into the camera. She told Jessica that there was a big safety problem that needed immediate fixing.
The Amazon delivery woman gave a warning

Jessica was in for a surprise when Amazon delivery carrier, Kelsey, gave her a whimsical warning.
“Hello Jennifer [Jessica], I hope your Monday’s going well!” she sang.
“You have no markers on your house that says what number you are. It is hard to find your house, my dude,” Kelsey said in her normal voice, now in a more serious tone.
That’s not all she had to say about the matter.
For Kelsey, it was a matter of safety

Kelsey decided that this was a critical moment to express her most significant concern for herself and other carriers visiting Jessica’s home.
“[It’s] unsafe, honestly. What if you needed medical assistance and the paramedics didn’t know your town well? Come on. Have a great day!” she said.
Jessica couldn’t deny that Kelsey was totally in the right

Jessica, who had only recently moved into her home then, agreed with Kelsey’s point.
“We just moved in and this happened today…she’s not wrong though. Guess I need to get some house numbers” Jessica wrote in the caption of her TikTok video.
We’re glad that a situation that could have been heated led to some pretty friendly mutual understanding.
People in the comments were total fans of Kelsey

People showed their appreciation for Kelsey’s words. They also weighed in on the importance of protecting ourselves and each other to ensure emergency services can locate our addresses if needed.
Others appreciated that part of her warning was through a song

Even though it wasn’t necessary, some people appreciated the production value of Kelsey’s advice. She could have made it a stern and heated speech, but instead, it was thoughtful and, dare we say, fun!
Kelsey even posted a response video with more advice

Kelsey posted a reply to Jessica’s video on her own TikTok page with even more tips and some information on her background in prevention education.
“When I see something, I say something,” she said, referring to every time she’s out delivering packages.
She also added that prevention is about reminding each other that we’re there for each other, which was like the cherry on top of this sweet story that could have potentially ended on a sour note.
