You’d think you’d be hard pressed to find a person who regrets being in a superhero movie, especially a Marvel movie, but they do in fact exist. And we’re going to list em’.
Ryan Reynolds
Let’s just say this won’t be the last time we’ll see Mr. Reynolds on this list… teehee.

Oh yeah, Heimdall hated being Heimdall. He described the whole experience as “torture” and recalled, while in makeup and a silly helmet, that 24 hours ago he was playing Nelson Mandela.
George Clooney
This was the film that made George Clooney realize he needed to take more control in his roles. Probably because the movie he was in was so gosh darn ridiculous.
Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck freaking hates Daredevil . He said about the movie:
” Part of it was I wanted for once to get one of these movies and do it right – to do a good version. I hate Daredevil so much.”
Edward Norton
The problem Norton had with The Incredible Hulk is that he thought it should’ve been better… but Marvel didn’t give him enough creative control. He wanted it to be as good as the Nolan Batman movies… yeah, no way buddy.
Jennifer Garner
Much like her co-star Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner hates the series of her movies where she starred as Elektra . In fact, she called it awful.
But, unfortunately, she was contractually obligated to do it.
Hugo Weaving
Apparently, Hugo Weaving regretted being the Red Skull in Captain America: The First Avenger . That’s probably why they replaced him in Inifinty War and Endgame with another actor by the name of Ross Marquand.
Tommy Lee Jones
Believe it or not, but the worst part of Tommy Lee Jones’ experience on Batman: Forever was working with Jim Carrey. He actually said to the comedian: “I cannot sanction your buffoonery “.
Jessica Alba
This role was so bad for Jessica Alba that she actually quit acting for a while.
One moment, in particular, stands out to her, where the director told her to “cry pretty”. Yeesh.
Jim Carrey
The reason this comedic actor didn’t like his role as Colonel Stars and Stripes was because of how violent it was. But only because it was right before a national tragedy.
Jim Carrey said about the role:
“I did Kickass a month b4 Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence. I am not ashamed of it but recent events have caused a change in my heart.”
George Reeves
Believe it or not, but this Oscar winner actually thought that the role was beneath him.
He hated putting on the iconic suit, and he especially hated when people called him “Superman” in public.
Ryan Reynolds (Again)
This guy regretted his first time playing Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine that he started a brand new superhero franchise with the character, lampooning the original whenever he can.
And boy we’re glad he did.
