On Monday, Emma revealed that she is working alongside dementia specialist Teepa Snow to learn more about the sickness as her husband continues his battle with it.
Thanks For The Help

In a post, Heming shared on Instagram, she thanked the dementia facility for all the help she received from them, saying, “I’m grateful I had the opportunity to work with @teepasnows_pac who has helped me add to my dementia care toolbox.”
A Leading Lady
Praising Teepa Snow, Heming wrote, “She’s a loving, compassionate, and skilled leader in this space who navigates herself with pure empathy. She’s a gift.”
A Painful Publication
In February, Willis’ wife and children shared the news of the actor’s condition worsening as he gets diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia, stating, “While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”
A Cruel Disease
The family talked about FTD, explaining, “FTD is a cruel disease that many of us have never heard of and can strike anyone. For people under 60, FTD is the most common form of dementia, and because getting the diagnosis can take years, FTD is likely much more prevalent than we know.”
No Treatment
“Today, there are no treatments for the disease, a reality that we hope can change in the years ahead,” the family added.
Creating Awareness

Shedding light on how FTD still requires more search, the family statement read, “As Bruce’s condition advances, we hope that any media attention can be focused on shining a light on this disease that needs far more awareness and research.”
Finding Joy In Life
Talking about Bruce’s life, the family continued, “Bruce has always found joy in life—and has helped everyone he knows to do the same.”
Gratitude For The Love

Lastly, talking to the actor’s supporters, the family wrote, “We have been so moved by the love you have all shared for our dear husband, father, and friend during this difficult time. Your continued compassion, understanding, and respect will enable us to help Bruce live as full a life as possible.”
Support From The Family
Ever since news of the final diagnosis came out, Hemings and Bruce’s five daughters have been by his side as the actor’s constant support.
The Scary Symptoms
FTD has started showing its side effects on the actor’s health resulting in personality changes, speaking difficulties, and obsessive behavior.
The Grief Of The Eldest Daughter
Sharing the family statement on her Instagram, Scout, Bruce’s eldest daughter, captioned the post saying, “Feeling emotionally tired and a bit overwhelmed, yet also very in awe of the love, so many people have for my papa.”
Difficult Times Ahead
Hemings has also shared updates on how she’s dealing with “paralyzing grief” following the diagnosis but is “learning how to live alongside it.”
Words Of Wisdom

As the entire family struggles with the news of the diagnosis and Bruce’s worsening condition, Heming extends her consolation to Scout, saying, “Grief is the deepest and purest form of love. I hope you find some comfort in that too.”
