Did you realize that there are several ways of doing most things? Oh, yes, that’s right.
There are at least four different ways you can eat a mango. I just found that out the other day. Same with an avocado, but what about a slice of toast? Is there a proper way of doing it? Well, this very issue has the internet divided.
There is a meme going around that asks a very important question.
How do you slice your toast? Ha, ha, I know this is earth-shattering, right? No but seriously, how do you do it? Is it option #1, #2, or #3?
When I was a kid, I used to slice my bread like option #2.
That’s how my mom did it, so that’s how I learned to do it. But when I came to Canada, I saw everyone slice their bread diagonally just like #1.
So that got me thinking, is option #1 the ultimate way to do it?
After all, it makes sense. When you slice your bread diagonally like this, you can dip the tip in your soup, for example. I like doing that.
As you probably guessed already, I switched to option #1.
That’s how I do it now. But is it the correct way? I mean, does it really matter? I mean, it’s just bread, so who cares? Ha, ha! Am I right?
Well, apparently, people do care.
Whenever someone posts these types of memes, it always starts a huge debate. Some folks swear by option #1. And then, there are those like me who used to do option #2. They probably still do it that way.
And then there are those weirdos that do option #3.
Who are these people? That’s what I would like to know. That option may fit those with very large hands because those slices seem way too long to me, ha, ha!

Option #1 does seem the most sophisticated one. What do you think? But I also think it depends on the kind of bread you use and whether the triangles look even or not.
Or you can just be like this person and throw this whole debate out the window.
I have to say I kind of like this attitude. In the end, all that matters is that you enjoy what you’re eating. Am I right or what?
