In an attempt to celebrate the debut of their new film Somebody I Used to Know, the spouses were invited to film for BuzzFeed’s Thirsty Tweets series. Quite expectedly, things turned pretty smokey coupled with the spouses’ unchartered chemistry.

The star couples were pretty thrilled as Brie exclaimed, “I feel excited,” at the beginning of the video. Her husband agreed to joke that he should turn beet red by the end of the video or it’s all a fail (spoiler: it was not a fail!).

At first, the tweets were mild, merely complimenting the star’s anatomy. Random tweets blurted stuff like “thinking about Alison Brie’s boobs again”, to which Dave enthusiastically related.

In true thirst tweet fashion, it all elevated hastily. From funnily commenting on the spouses’ body parts, the fans were ready to sacrifice their body limbs to the stars.

Reflective of the common slang today, multiple tweets called the two stars “Mommy” and “Daddy”, to which Brie responded that she was “cool with” it.

Unbeknownst to Dave, several terms completely boggled him. Where the fans likely expected to receive haughty comments from the Now, You See Me star – they were left baffled over his lack of knowledge of words like “bussy.” Though, there was nothing to fret over, for his wife was there to save the day! She went on to explain each terminology to him, and both shared a laugh over the ridiculousness of it.

The more you watch the thirst tweet, the less you think fans can excel even more at pure salaciousness than this. And, each time, you are wrong. Just like other times, the fans could make our faces gush red – similar to how Dave did by the end; congratulations to the fans on their success!

As is evident in the video, the stars were not ready for the level of crudeness they were hit with. For the most part, we (along with the spouses) were appalled at the fans’ dreams which ranged from the potential of being their sugar baby threesomes, and much more tongue-tying thoughts.

Presuming The Awkwardness In the Air
Where Alison shot romantic scenes with co-star Jay Ellis in the movie, her husband was behind the camera directing them. With the spouses co-writing it, Alison starring, and Dave directing them, one can barely imagine how awkward the interaction must have been.

During a Jezebel interview , Alison stated that it does not feel weird for her or her husband.

“It doesn’t make Dave and I uncomfortable,” she said, explaining, “I realize that it sounds wild, but we are actors, this is our job. It’s actually not that weird. And with something like this, because it’s our baby that we made together, I think our first priority is always just the movie. Does this scene feel right and good?”

Despite Dave’s and Alison’s comfort in working together in such romantic scenes, the latter’s love interest in the movie felt entirely different.

In an appearance on the Kelly Clarkson Show , Ellis (the on-screen love interest of Alison) reportedly felt very uncomfortable while filming love-induced scenes with Alison in front of her husband.

Within the same show, Ellis recalled a scene where Franco told him to sit closer to Brie. To this, he responded, “Are you sure? … It feels like I’m really close to your wife, man.”

Although Ellis might have felt differently about being super close to Alison – most people fail to relate to him. In fact, most of us would feel like a dream come true were we given an opportunity to be so near to a woman as stunning as her!
