Linda Hamilton is returning to her iconic role in the new Terminator , and she has recently shared the intense fitness and nutrition regime that she has used to get back in shape for the film.
The new “Terminator: Dark Fate” is in theaters, (as of November 1st) and so far, fans are loving it.

Not only is it nostalgic for obvious reasons, but it was also refreshing to see some familiar faces!
Linda Hamilton came back to reprise the iconic role of Sarah Connor for the first time in nearly three decades.

And we couldn’t help but notice that at age 63, Linda is seemingly in just as great of shape as she was in the older Terminator movies from the ’90s.
To refresh your memories, Linda starred in the original “Terminator” back in 1984, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The movie was such a success, it prompted the sequel: Terminator 2: Judgement Day .
Many fans actually argue that “Terminator 2” to be far superior to its predecessor, “The Terminator”.

Since then, there have been four other Terminator films made, including the latest one, Terminator: Dark Fate .
Anyway, Linda recently admitted that over the last year, she has been working incredibly hard to get back into Terminator-slaying shape.

“I worked for a year to get ready for this one, Dark Fate,” she told People .
“Judgment Day was maybe three months. But they kept postponing the filming.”

“In Judgment Day, it was just the beginning of the fat-free diet,” she continued.
“I ate no fat for all those months. More than a year,” she went on.

“I would never do that again, because the brain needs fat, the body needs fat. But we didn’t know any better.”
Evidently, when it comes to preparing for the role of Sarah Connor, Linda doesn’t mess around!

In some ways, similar to her character!
“Sarah Connor is not a happy character. She is best when she is driven and tragic,” the film’s director said .
For “Terminator: Dark Fate”, she took a much different approach to getting in shape.

While Sarah Connor is still be gunning for the new terminator, she isn’t alone!
She is joined by an enhanced super-soldier from the future as well as OG, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

This time Arnold plays a different version of the same cyborg who was famously melted at the end of Judgment Day .
“We worked on functional mobility,” she went on.

“Everything we did was with movement and trying to get the fast-twitch muscle going again “.
“So that I could spring into action and turn, and run, and do the things that were required.”

So, the training was very different [to Judgment Day],” she explained .
“This time, I ate no carbs. See, you always have to give up something!”

“But, obviously, the training is different as a woman of a certain age,” she went on .
“I could work out just like I’d had for ‘Judgment Day’ and not put on the muscle,” she added.

“Because you need hormones for that, and I don’t got them!”
If you haven’t seen the movie yet, I highly recommend checking it out to see Linda in action!
