Acting might be a job, but that doesn’t mean it’s all serious work all the time. In fact, movie and TV stars have been known to have a little fun while on set.
For these actors, some really fun and memorable moments happened when they were filming their movies or shows. It almost makes you wish you were there, too.

John Krasinski knew ‘The Office’ was going to be great from the second episode.
Jim Halpert himself wasn’t so sure about The Office after filming the pilot, citing the fact that it was a carbon copy of the British sitcom from which the show originated. The jokes wouldn’t land for an American audience.
But everything changed with “Diversity Day.”
The second episode of the first season is, in Krasinski’s eyes, where The Office got its footing. “I remember that day when [the diversity sensitivity counsellor played by Larry Wilmore] comes in and says, ‘My name is Mr. Brown,’ and Michael says, ‘I’m not gonna call you that ,'” he tells Vulture.
“It was that moment combo’d with Kelly slapping him [for his impression of a bodega owner],”
“…where I said, ‘Oh my God, we’re a part of something totally unique — and I don’t think anyone will watch this. But I knew it was really good and I [remember thinking] we were a part of something special.”
Jamie Lee Curtis had a touching moment on the last day of filming ‘Halloween’ (2018).
Returning as Laurie Strode once more in 2018, Curtis talked about how, on the last day of filming, she was set to be in a car by herself, waiting outside the prison where Michael Myers is held.
“I prepared for that day of work,” she said.
“The last day of the movie, I arrived on that set in an emotional state … The entire crew had nametags on that said ‘ We are Laurie Strode .’ … That universality of support was the thing she had never had in her entire life.” For Curtis, this was an incredibly powerful, emotional moment.

According to the cast, there were multiple moments on the Black Panther set where cast and crew would break out into song and dance. One instance was during the filming of the first waterfall scene, where Lupita Nyong’o recalled the drummers beginning to play “Drop It Like It’s Hot.”
“The drummers started drumming to Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and then the entire crowd joined in on that ‘snooooooop snooooop,'” she recalled.
” That’s the moment that I really felt the pan-Africanism because we were all there. We’re from Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Kenya, Uganda, Germany, the U.K., Zimbabwe, South Africa, Ghana, Senegal — you know, we’re from everywhere. South Carolina, California, Canada, you name it.”
Christian Bale had a lot of fun filming the stunts in ‘Rescue Dawn.’
Bale recalled doing a lot of stunts for the 2006 film: “I’ll tell you though, this was fantastic being with the Thai air force guys. … They just kind of plowed their way through the jungle and I doubt that I’m going to get a chance to do that again . I’m glad that I did it.”
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Peter Dinklage danced during a serious ‘Game of Thrones’ moment.
At this point, you aren’t a fan of Game of Thrones unless you’ve seen the blooper video featuring the two actors dancing (and if you haven’t just watch it now). Despite the fact that they’re filming Tyrion’s trial over Joffrey’s murder, the blooper is a lot more fun.
The two thought it would be funny to pull a prank on set.
So they showed up dancing. The extras clapped and laughed as they made their way up to the podium, but when the dance ended, they were met with an awkward silence .
Michael C. Hall loved getting to trash the lab in ‘Dexter.’
During the episode “About Last Night,” Dexter imagines himself throwing a chair through a window in his lab. Hall enjoyed filming it, saying, “We’ve all been in some sort of circumstance where we wanted to fly off the handle and trash the room . I guess it was a fantasy for the character as well because it didn’t really happen.”
Ke Huy Quan had a nice reunion with Harrison Ford ahead of the new ‘Indiana Jones’ movie.
Quan recalled getting the chance to see Ford again that the D23 Expo. “And as I walk close, my heart is pounding,” he said. “I’m thinking, ‘ Is he gonna recognize me? The last time he saw me, I was a little kid.’”
“[H]e looks and points at me and says, ‘Are you Short Round?'”
“Immediately, I was transported back to 1984, when I was a little kid, and I said, ‘Yes, Indy.’ And he said, ‘Come here,’ and gave me a big hug.'”
Robin Williams loved flying in ‘Hook.’
In 2013, Williams held a Reddit AMA where he answered questions about his past work. One fan asked what was the most memorable Hook moment for him, to which he responded, “Flying. I only felt bad for the five guys who had to haul my fat ass up .”
Paul Rudd got to play around with Captain America’s shield.
Rudd joined the MCU as Ant-Man, and appeared alongside Cap and the crew for Captain America: Civil War . Between takes, while Chris Evans was in the bathroom, Rudd saw his chance to play with the shield.
“[Evans] asked the prop guy to hold his shield and walked off,” he recalled. “I just said [to the prop guy], ‘Can I try it?'”
“And I took the shield and it was very exciting. It was not dissimilar to what my character was feeling in the scene.”
Bill Hader lived out a childhood fantasy when he played in a band with Dave Grohl during ‘SNL.’
“We did this sketch where we were a punk wedding band. I was playing bass, and Dave Grohl was on drums—that was one of the biggest moments of SNL for me,” Hader said, recalling when he got to play with the Foo Fighters frontman.
“If you had told me at 15, ‘You’ll play with Dave Grohl on ‘SNL,” I’d be like, ‘You’re out of your mind.'”
“At one point, Dave was like, ‘Hey, Bill, you sound good.’ I almost threw up, I was so terrified. But I was excited. That was a life dream, that moment.”
Kevin Conroy enjoyed voicing Batman in ‘Mask of the Phantasm.’
When discussing his favorite Batman lines, the voice actor recalls an emotional scene from the 1993 animated film: ” I loved that scene and I loved playing it , and I was really proud of it because you have to show the humanity of the man.”
Jack Gleeson weirdly enjoyed filming Joffrey’s funeral in ‘Game of Thrones.’
He recalled it being a very easy day on set, saying, “I don’t know if there’s a scene where I did my best work, but the final scene I appear in is when Joffrey’s corpse is lying on a plinth in the set and I just got to sleep for the whole day . That was a fun experience.”
