Bella Thorne isn’t shy about showing off her body, but she knows how to set boundaries.
A fan of the 25-year-old former Disney child star found out about those boundaries the hard way when he got a little too pushy with her.
Incident With An Autograph Seeker
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter , Thorne recalled an incident at the Sundance Film Festival when the said fan got too demanding about getting her autograph.
She Doesn’t Mind Signing Autographs, Normally

First, the Shake It Up alum noted that she’d always been accommodating with autograph seekers.
This One Was Offensive, Though
But the one in Sundance was different.
“It was this guy and he was shoving photos in front of me and I looked away for a second and looked back and there was a photo of me from my GQ magazine cover,” she said.
It Was A Sexy Photo

She was showing off a lot of skin on the GQ cover.
She Refused To Sign It

Thorne refused to sign the photo. The fan insisted, and she refused again. Then he got another sexy pic out and begged her to sign.
‘Inappropriate’ And ‘Underage’

“I didn’t like it. It was inappropriate,” she said. “There was some stuff there from a Candies campaign that I did when I was 16 and it was clear that he wanted me to sign things that were viewed as sexy and even underage and I was like, ‘Give me something else.’”
She Didn’t Sign Any Of The Pics

When the fan said they were all sexy, the actress just flat-out refused to sign anything.
She Tried To Be Understanding

Thorne tried to be understanding, saying that the person was probably just trying to make some money.
No To Underage Sexualization

But she would draw the line when underage photos of her are sexualized.
“It was just that I was under 18 and it’s inappropriate,” she explained to the publication.
Any Regrets?
Next, THR asked her if she regretted having any of those pics taken.
She ‘Wouldn’t Do That Now’ But…

The Blended actress replied that while “she wouldn’t do that now,” she also felt there was no point in “trying to take back these moments” that can no longer be changed.
She Reflected On Her Career

She also reflected on her career, saying she felt lucky her life post-child stardom had taken a fairly decent route.
Career Beginnings
Thorne began her acting career in the 2000s with supporting roles in films and TV shows.
Rise To Fame

She rose to fame in the early 2010s when she was cast in the lead role of CeCe Jones on the Disney Channel series Shake It Up alongside Zendaya.
Transition From Child/Teen Roles

Towards the end of the 2010s, she began to transition from child/teen star to a more mature persona.
Adult Roles And Directorial Debut

Aside from taking on grown-up roles in movies and TV shows, she also made her directorial debut in the adult film industry with her short film titled Her & Him in 2019.
In 2020, she also joined OnlyFans, famously earning $1 million in her first 24 hours on the platform.
‘Made It Out Pretty Clean’

“I actually made it out pretty clean,” she said. “I could’ve done so many worse things as so many teenagers do.”
No Serious Mental Health Issues
She explained that she didn’t experience “really rough issues” with her mental health, “or get stuck in a really dark place where you don’t want to get out of bed.”
‘Pretty Lucky’
“I mean, I’ve definitely been there but I have been pretty lucky,” she added.
