We all do things for money we’re embarrassed about. I for one did some movies in college that… well, let’s just say I wouldn’t bring them out at family occasions.
Ben Affleck.
Just like the rest of us, Ben Affleck hates Daredevil .

I think we all regret Bill Murray’s decision to play Garfield the cat in… well, Garfield The Movie .
He definitely does, and in fact, made a joke about it when he was killed in Zombieland .

He had, Fresh Prince Of Bel Air , he had Bad Boys , Independence Day , Men In Black and then… this stinker.
Josh Brolin.
“Oh Jonah Hex, hated it. Hated it. The experience of making it – that would have been a better movie.”
These are the words that came out of Josh Brolin’s mouth when he talks about Jonah Hex .
Michelle Pfeiffer.
I’ve already talked in a different article about how lame Grease 2 was, but it turns out that Michelle Pfeiffer agrees with me.
She said about it: “I hated that film with a vengeance and could not believe how bad it was.”
Alec Guinness.
What?!? I had no idea that Ben Kenobi hated Star Wars … but it’s true.
He called the lines “bloody awful” and the script “mumbo jumbo”. Psh, what a philistine. What would he know?
Christopher Plummer.
What, really? I didn’t think this was embarrassing… But Christopher Plummer sure thinks it was.
Calling it “The Sound of Mucus”, he frequently says that he hates the film due to how cheesy the film was.
Sally Field.
So this Oscar winner was given the role of Aunt May, which should be pretty exciting.
Well, not for Field, who said about injecting some life into the flat role “you can’t put ten pounds of ‘stuff’ in a five-pound bag”.
Chris Evans.
Before he was Captain America, he was in another superhero movie franchise.
And I think we can all agree that the Fantastic Four franchise didn’t get as much critical praise as the MCU.
Chevy Chase.
Oh yeah, it was Community that really set Chevy Chase off. He said to creator Dan Harmon:
“It’s just a [flipping] mediocre sitcom! I want people to laugh, and this isn’t funny.”
Burt Reynolds.
While Boogie Nights shot a bunch of people to critical acclaim, Burt Reynolds wasn’t very happy with it.
He clashed with director Paul Thomas Anderson frequently, said it wasn’t “his kind of film” and didn’t even see the finished product.
Jessica Alba.
Yes, yet another actor regrets their time in the Fantastic Four franchise. Especially after the director told her to “cry pretty, Jessica”.
Uh… how the heck is she supposed to do that?
Robert De Niro.
Even though I personally thought he was pretty funny, Robert De Niro didn’t like playing Fearless Leader in The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle .
And now that I look it up, a lot of people didn’t like him either.
George Clooney.
Oh yeah, we all remember the stinker that was Batman and Robin . We all know the memes that were generated from this crap, too.
“A bat credit card?!?”
Yeah, Clooney hates this movie too.
Robert Pattinson.
Even at the height of anti- Twilight fever, nobody hated the movies more than their star, Robert Pattinson. He told Variety , that he “stopped mentally progressing around the time when I started doing those movies.”
Ryan Reynolds.
Reynolds’ first foray into the world of superhero movies was definitely not well received. With only a 26% on Rotten Tomatoes, Green Lantern was a definite flop.
Reynolds himself joked about it in Deadpool 2 , when his character goes back in time to kill the actor Ryan Reynolds before he can agree to take on the role.
Megan Fox.
Megan Fox knows her career got started with Transformers , but she’s also aware of some of the films’ shortcomings. She said , “I mean, I can’t [expletive] on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don’t want to blow smoke up people’s ass. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting.”
She also has claimed that the director Michael Bay is a nightmare and horribly misogynistic, so we can forgive her for not putting all of her acting chops to use in this one.
Michael Caine.
Michael Caine is not a superfan of his role in 1987’s addition to the Jaws franchise: Jaws: The Revenge. In his autobiography, he wrote, “I have never seen it, but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific.”
Matthew Goode.
Leap Year was a sort-of forgettable romantic comedy that came out in 2010, in case you, like the rest of the world, forgot it existed.
The lead actor, Matthew Goode, told The Telegraph , “The main reason I took it — so that I could come home at the weekends. It wasn’t because of the script, trust me. Do I feel I let myself down? No. Was it a bad job? Yes, it was. But, you know, I had a nice time and I got paid.”
Halle Berry.
When Halle Berry won The Razzie for worst actress for Catwoman , she was not shy about how she felt. “I want to thank Warner Bros. for casting me in this piece of [expletive], godawful movie. To give a really bad performance like mine, you need to have really bad actors.”
Viola Davis.
Viola Davis is a superstar now, but it was The Help that, ahem, helped her become a household name. However that doesn’t mean Viola felt the movie had the right focus.
She told The New York Times , “”I just felt that at the end of the day that it wasn’t the voices of the maids that were heard. I know Aibileen. I know Minny. They’re my grandma. They’re my mom. And I know that if you do a movie where the whole premise is, I want to know what it feels like to work for white people and bring up children in 1963, I want to hear how you really feel about it. I never heard that in the course of the movie.”
Daniel Craig.
Craig was not subtle about how he felt about Quantum of Solace and about the character of James Bond himself. During an interview with Time Out , Craig said when asked if he’d do another Bond film, “‘Now? I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.”
Craig is reprising his role as Bond in the upcoming 25th Bond film, slated for an April 8th, 2020 release date. Oops?
