Kate Hudson is one of the most likable celebs around.

1. Her mother is Goldie Hawn.
Yep, these dynamic blondes are mother and daughter!
If you look back at younger pictures of Goldie, you’ll see that the resemblance is uncanny. But while they’re both actors, they’ve never shared the screen together.
In 2017, Hawn told *The Los Angeles Times* the reason for this: the expectations would be too high.
“We would love it, but it’s really interesting,” she explained , “unless it’s something great, honey, you don’t do it.”
2. Kurt Russell stepped in to raise her when her dad was absent.
Since Goldie split from Kate’s father, Bill Hudson, in 1982, he wasn’t really a part of the actress’s childhood.
In 2015, Bill even slammed his children to the Daily Mail , saying, “I say to them now, ‘I set you free.'”
“I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own…[Oliver] is dead to me now. As is Kate,” he continued.

When it came to losing the baby weight from her third child, Kate joined forces with Oprah and WW.

It’s crazy to believe now considering how perfect Kate was for the role, but the producers were originally wanting Gwyneth Paltrow.

When the actress started the brand in 2013, she wanted to create clothing that would appeal to all women.

Today, the company is worth over $300 million and has millions of subscribers.

10. She has a really weird morning routine.

It was Kirsten Dunst, Natalie Portman, and Sarah Polley who were up for Penny.
“She got Penny because of her loyalty,” the film’s director Cameron Crowe told Rolling Stone .
But after Polley, who earned the role dropped out, Kate stepped in.
12. She’s raising her children to ignore gender norms.
The actress has three children: Ryder Robinson, 16, Rani Rose, 2, and Bingham Hawn, 9.
