For starters, he gave credit where credit was due.
He made sure to graciously thank Quentin Tarantino, the brains behind the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood .
“I have to start by thanking the man himself, Mr. Quentin Tarantino,” he began. “The man, the myth, the legend”.
“For this experience, for the film — one I’ll never forget,” he went on. “I thank you, my brother. I really appreciate it.”
Then he moved on, showing some love to his best pal and co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio.
“I also have to thank my partner in crime, LDC,” he continued as the crowd laughed and applauded.
“You know, when — before “The Revenant”, I used to watch year after year his co-stars accept awards and get up and thank him profusely.”
“I know why,” he said. “He’s an all-star, he’s a gent”.
“I wouldn’t be here without you, man,” he added. “I thank you.”
And then he slipped in an absolutely hilarious joke referencing the Titanic , confirming that his and Leo’s longstanding bromance is unmatched.
“Still,” he added. “I would have shared the raft,” he joked.
Unlike Rose, who hogged the floating door all to herself leaving Jack to die almost instantly of hypothermia.
Just when we thought that Brad’s speech could not get any better, he made a joke about bringing a date to the Golden Globes.
While the joke was funny, cameras caught Jennifer Aniston’s reaction to it, and fans are shook .
Fans were aware that both Brad and Jennifer were going to be attending the Golden Globes, and were eager to see if they would cross paths.
But her reaction to his speech was so much better.
I wanna say hi to my folks, because hey! They’re back in the Ozarks,” he explained.
“I wanted to bring my mom but I couldn’t because anyone I stand next to, they say I’m dating. And that would just be awkward.”
So, not only was the joke funny enough to get a laugh from his ex, he also threw major shade at every seedy tabloid that has ever made assumptions about his romantic life.

What’s more suspicious is that she actually looks like she’s intentionally trying not to laugh, but can’t help herself (because she’s in love).
