A father shared the staggering bill his family of five received one morning at Disneyland which featured an eye-watering price tag of nearly four figures.
He shared the photo on social media
User @jrockandrollt on X, whose name on the platform is John “Rock & Roll” Tolkien posted a photo of his family’s breakfast bill on the social media app on Monday, June 16.
The bill was almost $1K
The photo of the bill showed that the father had spent a staggering $937.65, including a $150 tip.
In the caption of the photo he wrote, ““Princess Breakfast” at Disneyland with my kids. Almost spit out my coffee.”
It was the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures
The Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures dining experience at the Anaheim theme park is held at Disney’s Grand California Hotel.
According to the park’s website, guests at the breakfast get to enjoy a three-course breakfast and activities with Disney princesses.
It’s a pretty extravagant meal
The Disney Princess meal is an extravagant one, starting with appetizers like lobster rolls, cornbread and beignets.
Kids can choose between chicken and Mickey Mouse-shaped waffles and macaroni and cheese, and adults can choose between braised short ribs, deviled eggs and truffle macaroni and cheese for the main course. The final course is picked from a selection of desserts.
The post went viral right away
The father’s post garnered 15.5 million views on X only two days after he shared the bill.
He started sifting through the questions in his comments, at one point explaining that the bill was for two children and three adults, with one person ordering a Bloody Mary.
He was shocked but still thinks it was worth it

The father joked in the comments, “If I find that goddamn mouse I am going to mug him.”
Although the bill came with an eye-watering number, he still thinks it was worth it, writing, “Kids enjoyed it, so I think it was worth it. The kids definitely learned some new words when I opened the bill though.”
“Service was attentive and enthusiastic, princesses were all trained pro actresses and spent a lot of time with the kids. I enjoyed it,” he wrote.
Some people praised him, others didn’t like the complaining
While many users under the post praised the father for being a “great dad,” others didn’t really understand why he was so shocked.
“Bro they tell you the price when you book, if you’re surprised that’s on you,” one person wrote, to which the poster replied that he wasn’t the one to book the meal.
