If there’s one thing the Internet loves, it’s getting heated up over a little mind game. Whether that’s an optical illusion , a really confusing math problem , or just something plain weird , you can bet that if it goes on the Internet, it’ll go viral.
The most recent example of this definitely falls into the plain weird category.
A twitter user named Cheri Jacobus recently shared a challenge that immediately got people talking.
The instructions read, “1. While sitting in a char, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles. 2. Now while doing this, draw the number 6 in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction.”
Just like you probably did, I just tried this. It definitely works.

The instructions go on to say, “I told you so! And there is absolutely nothing you can do about it! You and I both know how stupid it is, but before the day is done you are going to try it again, if you’ve not already done so.”
People online of course fell for the same trap.
“I’ve seen this on Facebook and figured it was similar to those “I bet you can’t think of a fish’s name with the letter A in it” things, but apparently it’s real. Is it like rolling your tongue (a genetic quirk) or is there a neuro-psych reason why it’s hard or easy?” asked one Twitter user.
It’s super interesting.
What do you think? How many times have you given it a shot? Let us know if it works for you (or if you’ve somehow managed to outsmart it) in the comments!
