This 33-year-old woman went as far as putting on braces to look like a teenager.
Shelby Hewitt, 33, was accused of enrolling into 3 Boston high schools

From December 6th, 2021, to February 3rd, 2023, Shelby Hewitt, who was 31 at that time, managed to convince the Boston Public School system that she’s 13 years old while working for the Department of Children and Families.
She even bought a $377,000 condo!

She is thought to have paid cash for the $377,000 condo she purchased in Worcester, a nearby city 40 miles east of Boston, shortly before the start of her school year. She reportedly informed her “friends” that she had inherited almost $1 million from her family.
Her first stop was Jeremiah E Burke High School

Her “backstory” at Jeremiah E. Burke High School was that she was a juvenile foster child who was trafficked for sex and was illiterate. Her name was Daniela.
She took extra measures to convince everyone

She pretended to be a 13-year-old teen, even getting braces and joining a school basketball team.
Time management was also one of her skills…

She continued to find time to spend time with her adult friends outside of school, even taking a trip to Colorado with them. Katie, one of Hewitt’s childhood best friends, told The Boston Globe that they wanted to spend an extra day on their vacation, but Hewitt was ‘adamant about needing to return for work’.
In another school, she used the identity of a child in state custody!

Posing as Ellie Alessandra Blake, Hewitt finally enrolled in English High School in Jamaica Plain. A few days later, a man claiming to be her father reported that Hewitt was getting bullied at the school.
The school started investigating into the claim made by Hewitt’s ‘father’ only to find…

The paperwork requested on Hewitt didn’t make sense. When administrators checked the paperwork, they couldn’t reach the social worker’s name listed. State and municipal police searched her residence in Jamaica Plain, where she lived with two other people in human trafficking squads.
Police later found out that Hewitt was enrolled in Boston Public Schools under two different identities, according to records found in her bedroom.
Police issued an arrest warrant for Hewitt

She was arrested on several charges

- 3 counts of forgery
- 1 count of identity fraud
- 1 count of larceny over $1,200
- 1 count of making false claims to her employer
And the reason…

According to her lawyer, Timothy Flaherty, Hewitt also has a dissociative identity disorder (DID), which was previously known as ‘multiple personality disorder’.
Hewitt’s other friend, Andria, dropped even more shocking details

Andria added that after Hewitt’s arrest, she got a call from her old friend, who apologized and told her how she decided to ‘revisit her youth’ after speaking with a psychic to help heal her past traumas.
