Kayne West is putting his foot down when it comes to North’s beauty choices.
The rapper recently changed his tune on makeup, crop tops, and even his wife Kim’s racy fashion choices.

Kim Kardashian just revealed something surprising about her family:
Kayne West banned their daughter, North, from wearing makeup and crop tops until she’s a teenager.
As for what brought on the sudden change, the rapper says that he “feels differently” now that he’s Christian.
Faith is a huge part of Kayne’s life, after all. He even just released a fully Christian music album called “Jesus Is King.”
In the past, Kim has been super lenient with allowing North to experiment with makeup.
Just last Christmas, the six-year-old was allowed to wear bright red lipstick for the family’s Christmas photo.
Kim later explained that the color was from her makeup collection and that North had picked it out herself.
This made fans skeptical, though, since Kim has once said that a very young North posted a bikini shot of her to Instagram before.
At her grandmother’s 85th birthday, North even wore a fake nose ring to the festivities.
Given the fact that she’s so young, people on social media took issue with that.
“Omg ! Let these babies be babies,” one wrote.
They also came for the reality star when she straightened North’s naturally curly hair.
“I can feel the heat damage from here! Leave your [kid’s] hair alone let her have the choice to damage it when she’s older,” someone wrote on an image where North had it straight.
When Kim let North wear her hair straight for her fifth birthday, the reality star was also mommy-shamed.
And now, it looks like Kayne isn’t cool with his little girl experimenting with makeup and fashion, either!
This was all revealed while Kim was promoting her KKW makeup line at an NYC Ulta Beauty store.
While Kim has been fine with North wearing makeup before, she now agrees with Kayne.
“It is what’s best,” Kim said.
She ended up explaining the decision to “The Hollywood Reporter.”
“She wanted straight hair and I straightened her hair one time,” she said.
“She has curly hair, so when you straighten her hair, it’s gonna look really long. I can’t believe people didn’t get that.
She told “E! News” that the whole situation has caused a “big fight” in their household.
“North is trying to get in on the makeup but she’s being blocked heavily because her dad has stopped all makeup for her until she is a teenager,” Kim said
“I think as a parent you just learn and figure it out as you go and we realized we didn’t really want her to wear makeup at a young age.”
She even went on to say that her being lenient with North’s beauty choices in the past has gotten her in trouble with Kayne.
For instance, that red lip she let North wear at Christmas.
“I’d let her wear — you know, she has a little red for Christmas — I’d let her wear a red lip, or I’d let her do one pop of something,” Kim said.
“I’d let her, if she’s wearing a black dress, a black lip. So I kind of got in trouble for that.”
She continued: “I think [Kanye] had it; he changed all the rules. So, it’s now no more makeup.”
Sorry, North!
Makeup isn’t the only thing North can’t wear, either.
Dad has also banned her from wearing crop tops.
There’s no word yet on what other fashion rules the couple’s younger children have to obey once they’re older.
The rapper explained the reason for banning crop tops during an interview with Zane Lowe for Beats 1.
Basically, it comes down to the fact that he ” feels differently ” now that he’s a Christian.
“I don’t think North should wear crop tops just because I had her wearing a slip dress when she was two years-old,” Kanye said.
“I think and feel differently now, now that I’m Christian, now that I’m founder of a three billion dollar organization and married for five years.”
In addition to his “Jesus Is King” album, he also has his own church!
Every Sunday, he hosts a Sunday Service , which focuses heavily on music.
North isn’t the only family member getting the red tape on what not to wear.
Wife Kim was faced with Kayne disapproving her Met Gala dress in a clip from Keeping Up With the Kardashians .
The night before the event, Kayne told Kim that he “didn’t realize” that the dress showing off her body was “affecting [his] soul and my spirit.”
Once the conversation turned into an argument, Kayne said, “You are my wife, and it affects me when pictures are too sexy.”
Let’s be real, though, we all know Kim will continue to wear what she wants.
