I’ll admit that I’ve never really had much interest in the Kardashian/Jenner family. I’m aware of them because it’s more or less impossible not to be nowadays, but I just don’t think they really have anything to offer me.
So it normally wouldn’t be very difficult to convince me of how much room there is to criticize what they do, but one rant about them serves as a good reminder that there are better ways to do it than others.
All of this started over Forbes’ decision to name Kylie Jenner the youngest self-made billionaire of all time.

According to The Daily Mail , this came in the wake of her Kylie Cosmetics brand’s success, as she owns a 100% stake in it.
Kylie initially launched her company with a single product: the Kylie Lip Kit.
The kit was inspired by Kylie’s popular pout, and targeted fans desperate to achieve the same looks she was serving on instagram to her millions of followers — all as a teenager.
The combination of a new product in the market, alongside the Kardashians’ popularity, and Kylie’s own cult following on instagram led to record-breaking sales.
Using the lip kit as a springboard, Kylie Cosmetics skyrocketed into one of the fastest growing cosmetic companies — ever.
However, that’s far from the only way she’s been making money.

Jenner also receives income from various endorsements, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality show, and what is reportedly an extensive real estate portfolio.
Obviously, it’s difficult to dispute the fact that she’s a billionaire, but Piers Morgan definitely had a problem with the “self-made” part of that label.

As The Daily Mail reported , Morgan said on Good Morning Britain that she can hardly be considered self-made because she wouldn’t have had a chance to get her riches were it not for Kim Kardashian’s infamous sex tape.
From there, he argued, the Kardashians were able to turn the notoriety from that tape into a family franchise via their reality show.

He went on to say, “That I think is a more accurate account of this thrilling entrepreneurial story,” before sarcastically calling the Kardashian tale a “triumph against all adversity.”
For some reason, the ensuing debate with his co-hosts led him to say that Jenner “isn’t even that good looking.”

Because there’s apparently no better way to discuss how warranted somebody’s “self-made billionaire” status is than ranting about their looks.
Nonetheless, he continued, saying, “I would have her at number four on the list of Kardashians, and the ones above her aren’t much better.”
“I’m not being rude, the only hot Kardashian is Kendall, the others… None of them are hot!” he explained .
Morgan also proceeded to call Kris Jenner a pimp for “[making] money out of [her] daughter’s sex tape.”

He went on to say, “The only good thing of this is Kim will be seething.”
“She made the sex tape, she owned the sex tape, she had to perform… Poor Kim, she put the yards in for the tape.”
This, if anything, undermines his point because if Kim isn’t a billionaire despite starring in the tape, then that means it takes more than the tape itself to become one.
Morgan’s rant apparently caused Good Morning Britain to run nine minutes behind schedule.

This led its producers to briefly cut the show off with a “technical error” image. When it returned, Morgan then directed his attention towards ranting about the producers.
“It is incredibly annoying, that’s what the public can’t hear – they can’t hear these people yapping in our ears all of the time,” he said.
“The admiration for what we do despite the barking and yapping would be extraordinary.”
This led co-host Susanna Reid to say that they still couldn’t do the show without everyone working to produce it.

Morgan, in his usual, humble fashion, replied with, “I could just go and work somewhere else and literally do it without them. “
“I would go to the BBC and revive their dormant morning show that nobody watches any more, and I’d literally be doing it without them.”
Well, Piers, you should do that instead of picking on a young, successful business woman.
