We’re only a few weeks into 2020 and Aaron Carter has already had his first social media meltdown.

This is Aaron Carter.
You probably know him as the little brother of Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys, AKA the kid who sang “I Want Candy!” or from one of his many recent controversies.
Like the time he revealed he was addicted to painkillers.
“Everybody thought, Oh my god, he has AIDS, he’s a crackhead, he’s a meth head,” Carter recalled during E! True Hollywood Story .
“That’s when I realized, either you get your [expletive] together or you make the decision to slowly die.”
While the “I Want Candy” singer has been sober for two years now, he’s still dealing with other issues in his life.
While on “The Doctors,” Carter revealed that he had been diagnosed with several mental health conditions, including multiple personality disorder and schizophrenia.
Things in his personal life came to a head in September 2019 when his brother Nick filed a restraining order against him.
In a statement released online, Nick expressed concerns over “Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior,” which included confessions about wanting to kill Nick’s pregnant wife and unborn child.
After being served, Aaron didn’t take to the news lightly.
He ended up going on an angry Twitter rant against his family.
“Take care. @nickcarter we’re done for life,” he tweeted after, followed up “I haven’t seen him in four years. And I don’t intend.”
Now, in 2020, the star’s latest rant started over a hoodie…
It all began when Carter used artist Jonas Jödicke’s artwork to promote the apparel in his merchandise shop.
The artist shared how Carter isn’t the first celeb to steal his work.
“Celebs like @aaroncarter should set an example, especially since he’s also from a creative background and knows copyright laws,” he tweeted after.
“If they can take art and do whatever with it, anyone can and will do it. If they’re not held responsible, people won’t stop treating artists like crap.”
Aaron’s response to Jonas’s tweet was an angry one, to say the least.
“You should’ve taken it as a compliment [expletive] a fan of MINE sent this to me,” he began.
“Oh here they go it again, the answer is No this image has been made public and I’m using it to promote my clothing line.”
After showing zero remorse for the stolen work, he added, “guess I’ll see you in small claims court [expletive].”
“This is his reply. I am lost for words,” tweeted Jonas in response.
That wasn’t all. Aaron responded to another one of Jonas’s tweets about how hard artists work for proper credit and recognition.
“here’s too clout chasers I was speaking about my family and a fan sent me the work your absolutely immature and I create my own artwork. stop trying to get clout of my name from a picture I posted. oh and [expletive] you and have a nice day. #[expletive]challenge I promote people #[expletive].”
He’s also been calling out any Twitter users who come for him:
When someone tweeted, “The fact that @aaroncarter is a piece of [expletive] thief is trending on Twitter. This makes me happy,” Aaron responded with laughter.
It should be noted that Aaron does have some fans on his side.
One brought up the fact that Aaron suffers from several different mental disorders and might not be in the right mind frame to understand his actions.
Either way, there’s been a surprising happy ending to this story.
Jonas wanted recognition for his work and he’s gotten that, ten-fold, as fans have been so supportive and items in his Etsy shop have even been selling out.
In addition to this, Aaron deleted his first angry tweet where he called the artist out and threatened a lawsuit.
Meanwhile, Jonas has been in contact with lawyers.
