We have all seen gorillas at some point because they are playful animals. Their adorable behavior makes people smile and can brighten anyone’s day. When the same video circulated online in 2017 and received tremendous acclaim for the large animal’s dance abilities, Zola first became popular. The Dallas Morning News stated that Ashley Orr, the primate supervisor at the Dallas Zoo, recorded the footage. Enrichment includes giving the gorilla a large blue pool to play in “a primate’s activities.
“ZooTube” at the Dallas Zoo website stated that “by giving animals like Zola mental and physical stimulation to boost natural behaviors, enrichment helps better the surroundings and lives of animals, like Zola. There are many ways to enrich one’s life, but for this spirited great ape, it means playing and whirling in his preferred blue pool!”
