Jane Fonda and Ted Danson Were Both Just Arrested During A Climate Change Protest

Actress and activist Jane Fonda pledged her support to the climate change cause with such passion that she does not care if she gets arrested for protesting every Friday at Capitol Hill for the cause.

For the third week in a row, Fonda was arrested for her involvement in the protest.

Fonda wrote on her website that, "I can no longer stand by and let our elected officials ignore — and even worse — empower — the industries that are destroying our planet for profit. We can not continue to stand for this."

This time, she was joined by actor Ted Danson.

Danson's arrest was chronicled by Twitter user @hcjewell who noted that the The Good Place actor looked merry.

In this video showing Danson's arrest, the actor is placed in plastic handcuffs.

He is then escorted by a police officer to join the line of other protesters who had been arrested, while onlookers cheered and waved.

These protests are taking place every Friday.

While this is Fonda's third arrest in three weeks, this is Danson's first appearance and subsequent arrest at the protest. Last week Fonda was arrested alongside her Grace and Frankie co-star Sam Waterston.
