Woman Films People Staring At Her Cleavage For Breast Cancer Awareness

Look, it's no secret that people have a habit of staring at a woman's cleavage, especially if it's particularly generous cleavage. The eyes of the world just seem to be automatically drawn to you the minute you decide you don't feel like buttoning yourself up to your neck.

One woman recently decided to take all that attention and put it towards something that could actually benefit the people of the world. And what better time to bring attention to your chest than during Breast Cancer Awareness Month?

NYC-based artist and breast cancer awareness advocate Whitney Zelig came up with a super unique way to campaign for herself.

In a video posted to YouTube, the 29 -year-old can be seen donning a low-cut tank top and hiding a secret camera in one of the buttons.

After adjusting the shirt a little to make sure her inconspicuous setup is properly in place, she embarks on a stroll through Manhattan to see just how many pairs of eyes her chest attracts.

As the footage shows, she starts getting looks almost immediately after she leaves her apartment building.

First we see a waiter and a customer at a restaurant's outdoor patio clock in on Zelig's chest-area.

Then she catches the attention of a young man walking through the park with his female partner, who realizes what he's staring and and gives his arm a swat.

Everywhere she goes, Zelig manages to turn heads and even inspires one rather bold gentleman to turn all the way around to get a better look.

While the cheeky clips show plenty of New Yorkers not-so-subtly ogling Zelig's chest, that's not what she, her brother, Chris, and their friend CJ Koegel want people to take away from their video.

It's all explained at the end of the footage with a pretty serious message: "Ladies, don't forget to check out your own breasts too. Early detection saves lives."

Zelig's own mother is a two-time breast cancer survivor, which she said is what motivated her to make the video.

"I just want people to get checked," she told Survivor Net. "My mom got checked right in time and she's still alive."

One of the goals of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is to encourage women to pursue screening and self examinations so they can detect abnormalities early.

Since it was posted on October 15, the video has amassed nearly 150,000 views.

In the comments section, some people found humor in the various oglers the video managed to catch, including a Bat Man impersonator in Times Square.

"Mr Wayne," one user wrote. "You too?"

While some skeptics said they thought the video was fake, many people applauded the creators for raising awareness in such an entertaining way.

"Damn that's a creative way to raise awareness," one user wrote. "I'll remind my wife to check her breasts out later today."

Another added, "Awesome video which uses something we all love to raise awareness about a serious issue."

This isn't the first time Zelig's brother, Chris, and their friend CJ have made a video of this nature.

In 2014, the pair posted a similar video in which a woman wore a hidden camera on the back of her pants and caught plenty of New Yorkers sneaking a peek at her bottom, all to raise awareness of men's prostate cancer.

At the end of the video, a caption reads, "Gentlemen, don't forget to check out your own butt too".
