A source revealed that Kim and Kanye's inspiration for naming their daughter "North" came about because "North means highest power."
While there were a ton of fans guessing that they would name their second child "South" to coordinate with North's name, Kimye decided on "Saint" instead.

In an interview, she mentioned she had considered choosing a traditional Armenian name, but was unable to land on one that she liked.

"I was truthfully thinking about just naming him 'Rob,' after my brother," she said.
"But I was really feeling that and my brother approved it, so that's our one kind of name. I like 'Rob West,' but I don't like 'Robert West.'"
And now they're even more thrown off after the latest episode of KUWTK, when Kim said she almost named him "Ye".
The name was gonna be 'Ye,'" Kim explained. "But Kanye doesn't like Ye because Ye doesn't mean anything."
"Kylie called at the last minute and was like, 'No, Psalm and Saint sound good together.'"
Fans seemed unanimously relieved to find out that Psalm's name did not end up being named "Ye" instead.
