'All My Children' Star Cameron Mathison Is Now Cancer-Free

Former All My Children star and Hallmark personality Cameron Mathison shocked fans last month when he revealed that he had been diagnosed with kidney cancer. However, his most recent update was certainly a welcome one.

Last month, Cameron shared this post on Instagram.

In his caption, he wrote, "About a month ago, I had an MRI for some gut issues I’ve been having, and during that MRI they found a tumor on my right kidney. It’s consistent with Renal Cell Carcinoma ... or kidney cancer."

He has once again taken to Instagram to share a health update.

Sharing this image of himself post-surgery, he wrote, "Feeling loved and supported by my family and friends, including each and everyone of you. I’ve been very overwhelmed and so grateful for all of the supportive comments and prayers."

"The tumor is gone and I even got to keep 80% of my kidney. We are all optimistic. Keep you updated. So grateful for all of you."

He also shared this image of his scars with an emotional caption.
