Jimmy Kimmel Surprised Danny DeVito With Creepy Mask Of Himself

But Danny Devito is a national treasure. The kind that Nicholas Cage would have to find in a movie.

Heck, he's such a treasure I'd even put him in an Indiana Jones movie!

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest was one that stuck with grown-ups, Matilda is one for the kids, and his performance as The Penguin in Batman Returns will haunt just about everyone.

And if you haven't seen that show, then you need to watch it.

Finish this article (obviously), then stop everything and watch that show. It is absolutely hilarious, and totally off base.

And boy, was it a fun watch. They started out talking about how some kids watch It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, which is definitely not a show for kids.

Not by any means.

He said that kids as young as 10 are catching the show now, and you have to wonder what kind of people would let their children watch Always Sunny, one of the most offensive shows on TV.

Maybe it's the right thing to do.

One funny moment for him was when a kid talked to him about the time he came out of a couch naked!

Which, if you haven't seen, is also hilarious.

Seriously, Danny DeVito has had one awesome career! However, the next moment was the funniest part of the whole interview, and that's saying a lot.

So they have to marry Andy Kaufman's character off to some hooker so he can stay in the country, so Danny Devito's character plays the violin and in the actor's own words:

"It was awful"

According to Devito, the headline read:

"Danny Devito gives up career as virtuoso violinist to be on television"

And Danny's reaction was as priceless as it was simple, all he said was:

"What the flip?" (except he didn't say flip).

Which, was not true at all.

The story got so much coverage that his own mother even called him and said: "Danny!"

He replied: "What Ma?"

She said: "I didn't know you wanted to play the violin!"

Funnily enough, Danny's mom got to play his character's mom on Taxi a couple of times, which is awfully sweet.

One funny moment is the producers told her they wouldn't write a lot of lines for her and she replied: "I could do dialogue."

Apparently, it's tied with Ozzy and Harriet.

And Danny even said the two shows were similar... as long as you take acid and lie at the bottom of your swimming pool while watching it.

Where Danny Devito's character goes into the video game machine and now The Rock has to act like Danny Devito.

Which sounds like a pretty funny set-up if you ask me.

Which were... pretty good.

Jimmy Kimmel does a decent Danny Devito, but it's hard for Devito to lose his own accent. I'm sure if he really tried, he could nail it.

Jimmy Kimmel showed him the picture of the mask, which is done by a company called Hyperflesh.

Then, when they returned from the clip, Jimmy spooked Danny by having his very own Devito mask!

Watch it for yourself, I can tell you that it's hilarious. Danny DeVito is a national treasure, and I'm sure Jimmy Kimmel wouldn't mind being called that as well.
