Live Event Gives People The Chance To 'Survive Jason' At A Spooky Campground

Although nobody in those horror movies where a group of friends head to a cabin in the woods wants anything bad to happen, the same can not be said for the audience.

After all, much in the same way that Saved By The Bell would be a boring show about classmates getting along if it weren't for Zack Morris, the Friday the 13th movies need Jason (or at least his mom) to show up to become truly entertaining.

But if the popular Friday The 13th: The Game from a few years back taught us anything, it's that surviving Jason can be pretty fun when you know it's happening. And so, one company is giving people the chance to get as close to the real thing as possible.

When the spooktacular season is upon us, a company in Arizona called On Pins and Needles hosts a series of awesome events.

As Narcity reported, the events are called F13: Survive Jason and they require guests to solve puzzles while they evade the infamous Jason Voorhees.

Guests need to be 18 or older to participate and they usually get their chance a couple of times a month.

As you can see here, this year's remaining events will take place on October 5, October 19, November 9, November 16, December 13, and December 21 at vaqrious campgrounds throughout the state.

And yes, that first December one does actually take place on Friday the 13th.

Each event starts at dusk and consists of three 25-minute games held throughout the night.

Up to eight players can team up for the challenges, but it's also possible to try and survive Jason on your own if you think you've got the power.

The rules state that guests will use one weapon at a time to ward off Jason and the play area will become smaller in typical battle royale fashion if the game goes into overtime.

Unfortunately, you may have to wait if you want to get in on the fun.

According to Narcity, tickets for the October events have already sold out, so you'll have to act quickly if you want to join later events.

But if you're lucky enough to get yourself a ticket, you're in for an unforgettable experience.

Tickets are $25 each and a meal will also be included with your ticket, as there's a campfire cookout before the games begin. Although the event starts at 6 pm, you should arrive about 30 minutes early if you don't want to miss the cookout.

Organizers also recommend not bringing pets, as there may be wildlife in the area.
