Miley Cyrus' Mom Shamed Her For Being On Instagram

It's called self-care, Tish, look it up.

While on vacation, Miley's mom, Tish, decided to pop off about her Instagram use. And honestly? We have to talk about this.

We also need to look at all of Miley's vacation pictures, because I am jealous.

So, Miley's had a hell of a year.

She's in the middle of dropping one of three EPs — She is Miley, She is Coming, and She is Everything — with the last one coming in the fall.

Three albums in one year? We have to stan.

She also starred in an episode of "Black Mirror."

If you haven't seen Black Mirror, get your life right and go watch it after you finish this article.

Miley starred in "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too," where she played a pop singer who has an AI doll that also speaks with her voice.

And she split with her husband, Liam Hemsworth.

The two married in December of 2018 after dating for 9 years (and one called off engagement).

In April of 2019, their rep quietly announced their separation to Teen Vogue. Liam filed for divorce the week after, citing irreconcilable differences.

She was accused of cheating by fans, as well as the media.

The accusations came about thanks to paparazzi pictures of she and Kaitlynn Carter kissing while on vacation mere days after the announcement.

That prompted Miley to make an Instagram post on her divorce. She said she had not cheated, and was in a good place in her life.

So, as I said. That was one hell of a year.

Ever since Liam filed for divorce, Miley has been splitting her time between performing and vacationing.

Oh, and dropping "Don't Call Me Angel" with Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey.

She recently took a vacation in Arizona.

After performing in Vegas, Miley headed for Arizona with her mom, Tish, and sister, Brandi.

All three posted a ton of pictures and Instagram stories from the trip, which makes Tish's comments all the more confusing.

It looked like Miley was having the time of her life.

And was definitely phone-free for big chunks of the trip.

I mean, who has time to text when they're busy paddling and balancing a dog in their kayak?

Miley definitely got some phone-free time.

Apparently, Miley was just posting too much on Instagram.

Miley took to her Instagram stories after her mom made a comment that didn't sit well with her.

She posted a snap of herself on her phone and wrote everything her mom said for her followers to read.

It wasn't nice.

"My mom called this 'disgusting' there was a gorgeous sunset and I was inside on my phone 'serving content' .... it's hard to get in trouble once you're an adult but she said I looked like a ' bratty millennial' which I do .... but is it bad if I like the pic and wanna post? Is that worst? @tishcyrus"

It's totally fine, Miley.

After the last few months, there's legit no harm in doing what makes her happy.

If a moment on Instagram brings her joy, I say go for it. All of her pictures were great, too!

Plus, Miley is an adult.

And she's on her own vacation. If she wants to post something to Instagram, that's her prerogative.

Sure, there's discussions to be had on-screen use, but at the end of the day, adults make their own choices.

And Tish wasn't exactly innocent...

Brandi caught this video of Miley snapping some pictures of Tish for her own Instagram.

Shoutout to that bratty millennial for knowing how to catch those angles. Miley knows what's up.

Also, Miley saw some sunsets!

She posted this picture of herself against what is pretty obviously a sunset.

Honestly, it sounds to me like Tish was irritated that she wanted to share a moment with Miley, and Miley wasn't into it.

I've definitely had those conversations with my own mom.

Sometimes, she does have to pull my head out of my phone.

But we've both also learned that there's a time and a place to be using our phones, and sometimes I'm on mine for my own comfort.

At the end of the day, it's all about communication.

It looks like they made up, though.

"My mom is the love of my life forever. @tishcyrus" She wrote in her Instagram story.

Ah, moms. Can't live with 'em, can't (and never would want to) live without 'em.
