Oh yeah, people, we’re going to be talking about Storage Wars today, one of the best shows on TV if you ask me.
Seriously, as far as reality shows go, this is up there.
1. The Frank Gutierrez Paintings

So there he was, the gambler himself, Darrell “freaking” Sheets, throwing down $3,600 dollars on a locker he wasn’t all that sure about.
Nobody else would do this except for Darrell.

However, when he opened it up, he found a collection of rare Frank Gutierrez Paintings. So, he took them in and found that they were worth $300,000!
That’s a great gamble, Darrell!
2. The Elvis Papers

Yeeep!
Any Storage Wars fan knows about Dave Hester. He’s become a household name amongst viewers of the show, not only for his signature catchphrase but also because of the fact that he’s kind of a d-bag.
The Elvis Papers (CONT)

Well, d-bag as he may be, he is still a very savvy Storage Locker hunter. He wouldn’t have all those trucks and businesses for nothing!
Out of nowhere, he buys this locker full of newspapers…
The Elvis Papers (CONT AGAIN)

Sounds pretty unassuming, right?
Well, as he was looking through them, he found a bunch that all had the same date: August 16, 1977.
That date ring a bell at all? It was the day Elvis died.
Hester netted a whopping $90,000 for the find.
3. Darrell’s Holy Grail

Back in Season 5, our ol’ Gamblin’ friend Darrell bought a pretty unassuming locker… until he found a bunch of rare comics, toys, and collectibles.
He dubbed it “Holy Grail of toys” and collected $90,000 for his trouble.
4. Video Games

From toys to video games, this Season 10 find had Rene Nezhoda discovering a whopping $50,000 worth of rare and old video games in a locker he only paid $1,500 for!
5. Vending Machines

Only one season after his big Elvis Presley find, Dave Hester had another big jackpot when he found about $27,000 in used and new vending machines.
That’s worthy of a “Yep”.
6. The Cool Vintage Finds

Once again, Rene Nezhoda and his wife Casey won big when they picked up some vintage wares.
They ended up being worth about $8,000 and included that nifty grandfather clock.
7. The Creepy Sculpture

Barry Weiss took a big win when he found this creepy sculpture tucked away in a storage unit he bought for relatively cheap, the thing was worth at least $6,000!
8. The Candle Maker

Going a little bit off the rails here people, and we’re going to travel to the world of Storage Wars: Texas where Mary Padian found this candlemaker.
It was valued at $1,400!
9. $750,000

This was Dan Dotson who told this story, and it wasn’t on the show.
One woman came up to him once and said that in a unit she bought for $500, she found $750,000 cash in a safe!
10. Pirate Gold

The craziest part about this story was that A) the person who found the unit wasn’t part of the cast and B) the episode was never aired!
How very mysterious…
Pirate Gold (CONT)

Anyways, so there’s this private buyer who used Dan and Laura Dotson’s auctioneer service who ended up buying some shabby unit for $1,000. Inside, he found a chest with $500,000 worth of pirate gold!
Understandably, he chose to remain anonymous.
