Lance Phan is a digital artist who can turn your average selfie, cute couple pic, or basically any photo you'd like into an impressive Pixar character with shockingly similar characteristics.
If you've ever wanted to see what you'd look like if Pixar made a movie about you, Lance is your go-to artist.
Aren't the details wildly impressive? One look at this, and I'm already wondering how I can get one made of myself.
He does get a high volume of requests, so he decides to pick randomly from the submissions he receives.
He charges $25 an hour up to 25 hours per customer. He'll take a look at the image and then give you a rough estimate of how many hours he thinks it will take to complete.
For example, your photo must be your own property, and everybody in the image must give their consent to be drawn and posted online.
If there are any logos or brands in your photo, they'll be removed from the drawing.
He explained that for this image, he attempted to draw 150,000 strands of hair, just like an average blonde head has.
Based on the detail alone, it's no wonder that they can take up to 25 hours to complete.
The hair just looks so lifelike, and even the reflection on the lenses is seriously perfect.
He explains that while creating this image, the sunglasses were hiding the eyes, and it took away the emotional value of the artwork. So he chose to make them transparent instead.
I can't do anything for eight hours. Not even sleep. This is blowing my mind!
For this image, he changed the background, and subsequently, he changed the light direction to match the new environment.
And anybody who has ever attempted to draw animals, no matter what medium, knows that it can be quite a challenge.
This way, there's no doubting what the subject might look like from a different perspective or angle. The similarities between the two just go to show that the more photos, the better!
Otherwise, it could take well over 25 hours to complete the artwork.
"To make the work time and price more affordable, I made reusable base meshes for adults, dogs, and cats. Without the base mesh, a sculpture of a baby will take forever," he explained.
